She’s best friends with the single dad cowboy’s brother and has watched two friends find love with the sexy new cowboys in town. When Gray Hammond comes to Whiskey Mountain Lodge with his son, will Elise finally get her own happily-ever-after with one of the Hammond brothers?

Elise Murphy tends to the grounds and animals at Whiskey Mountain Lodge—and she’s just fine working with plants and animals who don’t talk back. She’s shy and petite, but is finding her place among the louder Whittaker family the longer she works for them. She’s also incredibly lonely and tired of being on the sidelines. But she doesn’t know how to break out of the mold she’s lived in for so long, despite her best friend’s urgings to do so.

If her best friend wasn’t one of the Hammond brothers, who’s so full of charm and confidence, Elise might think he actually understood.

Gray Hammond has visited Whiskey Mountain Lodge in the past, and with his parents off on a cruise for the holidays and his job at the family company wrapped up, he decides to take his son to the lodge for Christmas to visit his two older brothers who now live in Coral Canyon.

When he gets introduced to Colton’s best friend, Gray can hardly remember who he is or where he came from. What he knows is Elise is gorgeous, and her shy spirit is exactly what his more analytical mind likes. He has no job to get back to, and plenty of reasons to keep all women out of his son’s life.

His life too, he tells himself. But he can’t help the gravitational pull to Elise, and as they get to know each other, he wonders if they could make a relationship—and a family—work.

Can Elise find true love with her best friend’s brother? Or will Gray’s fears and worries about his son keep them on neutral ground?

Love and Family in a Christian Way

This book did not disappoint. I have enjoyed every book in this series. The importance of family shines through even though not everyone gets along all the time. I may be old fashioned, but it was nice to read books with love between the characters and no steamy sex.

    Elise, Gray and Hunter’s story

It’s so hard to raise a child alone. It’s hard to introduce a relationship into that. And it’s hard to have a long distance relationship to boot. How can this ever work?Oh my, it sure has it’s ups and downs right from the get go.I love these guys. All of them. Maybe Hunter the most.Only four stars because I felt some things were missing. Maybe Liz will expand on them in the next story.I hope so.As always, Liz writes stories you can enjoy without worry of what you put in front of your eyes.Sweet romance with a bit of emotional conflict, forgiveness.Sure we are dealing with billionaires, but they are kind and genuine down to earth billionaires in cowboy hats.Well until we get to the next brother. And I can’t wait for Cy and Patsy to fall in love.Enjoy ????

    Legal and lawn

Really enjoyed this book. Gray is a former corporate attorney for his family’s plastic company. He is a billionaire and has a 12 year old son. His wife left a long time ago. He ended up talking on the phone with a lady who was friends with his brother. They finally met but they were secretive about their long distance relationship. He had dated a few times in the past but the women were after his money. He was overprotective of his son Hunter. There was a fourteen year age difference between Gray and Elise, but neither minded. She had a landscaping business and did the landscaping at Whiskey Mountain lodge, where she had a cabin. Gray traveled back and forth between Colorado and Wyoming. Things were going really well and Hunter really liked Elise and wanted her to be his new mom. Gray read and misinterpreted a text between Hunter and Elise and broke everything off. Will the relationship get fixed? I received an ARC of this book and I am giving an honest review.

    Enjoyable read!

The more I read about Whiskey Mountain Lodge, it’s owners and the circle of love that they have drawnaround their family and friends-who-are-like-family, the more I grow to love this Coral Canyon series. Iencourage you to read some of the previous books before reading this one so that you can fully appreciatesome of the updates on the characters who starred in other books. This book featured Gray Hammond who isdescribed as the most polished and “buttoned up” of the Hammond brothers. He has retired from his job as acorporate lawyer for his family’s multi-billion dollar business and is divorced with full custody of his son,Hunter, who is a tweenager. Gray is attracted to Elise who owns a landscaping business and has WhiskeyMountain Lodge as a client. She has been living in a cabin at the lodge with her best friend, Bree, who wasemployed at the lodge until she married Wes Hammond, Gray’s brother. This story details how woundedpeople heal from broken relationships and move forward in their lives. It kept me turning pages late into thenight, crying at times when something sad happened, and sighing at times over the romantic parts. I reallyenjoyed it and give this book my high recommendation! I was entrusted with a copy of this book by the authorand this is my voluntary and honest review.

There is a lot going on in this book

There is a lot going on in this book since we not only follow Gray and Elise, we touch back on the previous two Hammond couples as well as setting the stage for the next book. And, this is a family with very busy lives. I found the story to be a slow burn and very sweet. It’s probably one of my favorites in Coral Canyon. Of course, neither of them is perfect and both Elise and Gray jump to some incorrect conclusions on the path to their happy ever after. But, the course of true love never did run smooth. One of the things I really appreciated in this story is the way it shows Gray and Hunter navigating how to bring a potential new “mom” into their existing dynamic. I’m really looking forward to reading more about the Hammonds and Coral Canyon.I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

Can Elise help Gray to loosen up and start dating again? Can Gray convince Elise to take a chance

Gray was a buttoned up serious corporate attorney in the family business. Now he is just floundering and not really sure what to do with the rest of his life. He is very overprotective of his son when it comes to relationships because of past relationships. He hasn’t really dated in several years. Elise is leary of getting into a relationship because the last long-term one she had ended with him breaking up with her over a text, not knowing that she was at the rodeo to surprise him. She had a few relationships but each one made her doubt herself more with each breakup. She is attracted to Gray and can’t believe that he is interested in her. They have a shaky start because of Gray not having good reception on his phone. It is months before they try to start again. They try to keep things secret because he doesn’t want to include his son yet until he knows things will work out. The biggest problem is they live 500 miles apart. Can they make the long distance thing work? Will Gray try to sabotage the relationship when things start to get too serious. How will Hunter feel when Gray has a huge misunderstanding of texts between Hunter and Elise and then breaks up with Elise and tells her not to talk to Hunter anymore? Can they work things out or will Elise just leave and go back home?

    Awesome as always!

Liz is fantastic. Your characters and stories are flawed, as are all romances and people. Very true to live, and always reflect an aspect of God’s great love for us. Impeccably well written. Just downloaded the next book.

I might have to say Gray and Elsie’s story is now my favorite one. I loved how the relationship built up slowly. Some ups and downs but how it all came together was sigh worthy.

    Gray & Elise

I love Liz Isaacson’s Hammond Brothers Novels. This one is about Gray the oldest and Elise. Elise is a gardener at the Lodge and is best friends with Gray’s brother Colton. Gray has just retired from being a corporate Attorney and has a 12 year old son, Hunter, who he is very protective of. Elise has watched two of her friends find love and she is tired of being alone. When the two meet sparks fly, but they can’t seem to get together. Besides Elise feels nothing will work out because Gray lives in another state. They text back and forth for months. Gray has been burned in the past by women trying to use him. Is Elise different. Will they be able to make it work?I was entrusted with a copy of this book by the author and this is my voluntary and honest review.
