She’s just his neighbor…until his dog—oops, his brother’s dog—adopts her.

Jillian:
I really should be stronger. I mean, there’s a strict no-dog policy in the apartment next door. I own the building, and the the tall, dark construction manager can’t have a dog.

Except I love his dog, even if his name is Sausage. The more time I spend with him, the more I think my “strict” policy of no dogs and no men…isn’t so strict.

And when Thomas comes to my spa and does the Van-Gogh-ga?

Fine, I may be a goner. If only I wasn’t just his neighbor

Book 1: Just His Secretary - Audiobook

She's just his secretary…until he needs someone on his arm to convince his mother that he can take over the family business.

*** "The humor in JUST HIS SECRETARY doesn't go for the easy laugh - it is witty and tongue-in-cheek because the characters are smart." ~BookBub Reviewer

Oh, and the romance is clean, the jokes witty, and the office grump swoon-worthy.

When Lila says, "I thought Callie was just your secretary," I suddenly want to prove her dead wrong...

Sometimes the thumbs slip…

She’s finally joined the dating app everyone in Cider Cove is raving about…when she accidentally sends a message about wanting to meet up for a first date to her enemy.

Hillary:
I’ve been engaged twice now without becoming a bride, and let’s just say those failures have made me more career-focused than ever.

But I just hit the big 3-0 last year, and I’m feeling…lonely, despite the five best friends I share an enormous house with. I’ve drawn the short stick this time, and I’m dealing with the general contractor about fixing our perpetually leaking roof.

Joy.
Not.

Liam Graff is a complete beast—and our next-door neighbor—which only makes the way we sometimes gather at the upper floor windows to watch him mow his lawn shirtless a little embarrassing.

For him. Not us.

In order to cheer myself up, I join the dating app everyone in town can’t stop talking about, and I’ve been chatting back and forth with Mr. Hottie from one town over.

Great. No, really, it’s great. I’m great. He’s great.

Except I’ve also been texting with Liam about this blasted roof, and my invite for dinner in a slinky black dress goes to him instead of Mr. Hottie…

Before I can correct and explain myself, he responds with What time should I pick you up?

That very terrible text may haunt me for the rest of my life…or change it completely.

This was an adorable story and a great start to the series. I loved the main characters, but look forward to reading more stories in this setting. It’s unique, but also realistic.

    A sweet funny romance.
I just love Sausage, (the dog)????, and how quickly changes sides, leaving his ‘owner’ Thomas for his neighbor, who is also the manager where he lives.

With Sausage by her side Jillian not only rethought to change the policy of not pets allowed but to made time to know better Thomas, Maybe things can work for the best. How knows?
    Beautiful ????

I enjoyed this book easy reading as usual from Elana Johnson

First book I have read by Donna Jeffries. Found it humorous in places but a little drier than other books this author writes by pen names.

I loved this book and the prequel too. Can’t wait to finish reading the series.

Jillian and Tom were both likable characters.

In a moment of duress one says they are dating and the other goes along. And then it’s real. OK.

The third-act break-up is more like a speed bump for them because, surprise, they are adults and choose to communicate.

It was a quick read and had me giggling in some spots and smiling in others.

This is such a wonderfully written first in the series book. It had it all humor, clutziness, great visuals,a dog named Sausage and love. Just a clean, most enjoyable read !!!!
