I love Deirdre and Wyatt’s story. I can only imagine how hurt and unworthy Deirdre felt. I’m glad things began to improve in her life. I could feel how being in the public eye as police chief could sometimes make things uncomfortable for Wyatt. I loved the public wedding and private ring ceremony they decided on. And a happily ever after is always a good thing.

Very good story. Just friends who end up falling in love with plenty of bumps and twists along the way – like it is in real life. I do want to say two things that don’t change how great the story is but clarify them for the readers. There are no private beaches in Hawai’i. All beaches are public except those on federal land which are military bases. And also, if you order a Frappuccino and it isn’t frozen like a milkshake, send it back!I love living in Hawai’i, on the Waianae coast of O’ahu. If you’ve never been to any of the islands, try to get here. You’ll easily see why it’s easy to fall in love here. I know, I fell in love with my best friend, too.

Don’t give up!
There are family issues that are hard to deal with but are handled well in this book. Wyatt needed time to get to a good place after his wife’s death. Diedre has issues with her daughter. She wasn’t sure Wyatt was ready for a new relationshap. They had problems but their love story is sweet and very true to life. I received a free copy and leaving voluntarily leaving a review.

This one was so emotional for me. I can’t imagine being estranged from my daughter especially in the way Deirdre is. She and Wyatt made the best couple – loved what was said to him – “You were different at Thanksgiving, Wyatt. So happy. And I know it was because of her.” – and what Deirdre said later to him “You do make me happy. And I think you’re perfect for me too.” Her daughter and ex frustrated me – seriously – but glad how things turned out and loved her attitude. The ending was so very ah and moving. Love can happen again and later in life.

I had a free copy of this book, but this is my honest and voluntary opinion. Shannon Bell works for a wedding planning service and gets coffee every morning at the same shop. Jeremiah times his day to see Shannon at the coffee shop hoping for a chance to ask her out. When she has a flat tire, he takes her to work, and the opportunity arises. She hasn’t dated in a number of years because of a bad relationship. This heartwarming book’s plot includes working through difficulties, trust, and finding out how to be happy. A great read!

Beautiful island beach story. Burke’s family flower farm raised flowers for the whole island and beyond. His dad wanted to retire and told Burke he needed a fiancé so he could pass the business on. This is a great series set in Hawaii. This one involves a wedding planner and a police chief. Diedre and Wyatt had dated before but broke up. They ran into each other outside a single’s event and he asked her out again but she said no. Not too much afterward, she called him and they finally agreed to go out. They enjoyed each other’s company a great deal. Diedre’s daughter had lied and gotten a restraining order against her mom, and lived with her ex. She told Wyatt right away but kept it from her co-workers. There were ups and downs in their relationship, but ended with an HEA.

At a company barbecue Lisa asked Cal to dance then the floor started moving realizing that it was a earthquake they knew a tsunami would occur. Cal has to deal with his daughter and his feeling for his late wife and Sienna, , before he can focus on a relationship with Lisa. Meanwhile Lisa and Sienna are getting close. A really sweet story of how Burke and Ashley had been friends since they were teenagers. Her brother was Burke’s best friend and he warned Burke not to date his sister in school. Now over 20 years later they have remained best friends and after Burke came back to Getaway Bay from pursuing his degree to use at his family’s business they had met every morning to run along the beach together.But when Burke’s father demands that if he wants to takeover the flower company when he retires he needed to be engaged or married as he wanted the business to be passed down through another 6 generations as it had been thus far. That demand set a plan into effect that would bring Ashley and Burke together in a fake relationship to please Burke’s parents. But this plan goes terribly wrong. Had they really fallen in love, or were they just faking it to get the company?

I loved this story! Ashley and Burke are best friends and running partners. Burke’s family run business of a flower farm has been in the family for years. Burke has done everything to prepare for his father’s retirement, 2 college degrees, working from sun up to sunset, earning the respect of the workers. But to his dad it’s not enough, he wants Burke to be married and tells Burke that no marriage no farm. Burke’s solution, get his best friend Ashley to pretend to being in a serious relationship. Nothing goes as planned. Ashley is a strong character and knows what she wants. Burke has had his heart broken and is afraid of serious romantic relationships. Won’t give any spoilers but has a good ending. I am voluntarily writing this review of an arc copy. ????????

A fun Getaway Bay beach read! While this is not my usual choice of genre, I fell in love with the story, the characters, and the HEA! The chemistry between Riley and Evan seemed authentic and honest. Couldn’t wait to see what would happen next in this clean romance. While Evan, the rockstar, fell fast and hard, Riley had her doubts and fears about engaging in a romance. So glad her heart eventually won out eventually. For a fun romance, I recommend this book. I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review. I loved Shannon and Jeremiah’s sweet story! Both have things in their past that they have worked really hard to overcome. But a new relationship brings up old fears and they both have to work through those. Hercules the therapy dog is a great added touch! Another hit by Elana Johnson.

After finding an expensive watch departing a plane Riley goes all out to locate the owner. They agree to meet in a coffee shop and each finds the other interesting. Riley does not recognize Evan as the highly successful rock star and when it comes out Riley runs. Evan wants to see her again but doesn’t know her number. He does remember that she worked for a bridal planning company and tracks her down. Evan never felt the need for a relationship but Riley is making him rethink the idea. This book was a great read and I enjoyed every page. I received this book as an arc and I am voluntarily writing this review.

This was my first book by Elana Johnson and I highly recommend it. It’s a fast paced sweet love story that sparks fly form the first moment Evan and Riley meet. It’s a light read but does have some drama and suspense. But I loved the story and the characters, the chemistry between them seemed honest and authentic. Sweet Beach Read
The Prince’s Bride is a sweet read. I enjoyed the cute and oh so unlikely premise of a prince and a synchronized swimmer getting together and of course the complications that ensue. Sweet and clean beachy read. I loved curling up with this sweet romance. A few of the characters from the other books set in Getaway Bay were mentioned, but the book stands on its own and is a pleasant afternoon’s reading.

They start a relationship but the trauma from both of their past relationships weighs heavy on their current relationship. There are lots of ups and downs. Charlotte is a woman that has been run through re meat grinder of life. After eleven years of marriage her husband tells her he wants a divorce and that he had found someone else he was in love with. Just less the two weeks after the divorce is final her marries the other woman. To pour salt in her sounds all of her friends sided with her ex husband. Some even asking her what she did to drive him away. Even her sister turned against her. Not being able to deal with the betrayal and loneliness any longer she sold her home and moved across the country and ocean to one of the Hawaiian island buying a fixed upper house online. She didn’t tell anyone she was leaving or where she was going. She was starting over.Dawson is staying at his friends house; which they had given him an open invitation to use at any time. They just forgot to tell him when he needed a place to stay that together put the house up for sale. This is how Charlotte and Dawson met. As he was doing a terrible job of trying to fix the sink.I have to say that I wish that there were real men out in the world that are like Dawson. His patients and help and helping her heal through all that she went through. It is a great story there is a time that there is a chance that they won’t make it. I loved this story.

I love these books! Deirdre and Wyatt make such a wonderful couple. I felt really sad about her daughter. I really loved the way they were together. I was a bit upset with his family, but that all got straightened out. I have enjoyed every book in this series and wish it wouldn’t end!

Would you like to dance?
Lisa is outgoing and brave. I love that she is honest and open about things. I love how she interacts with Sierra. Cal doesn’t like to mingle but he doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life alone either. I love that he is willing to do whatever it takes and get help to be able to move on with his life. I love how they get together when Lisa asks Cal to dance. And I like that their dance is a recurring part of the story. And I definitely love a happy ending!

This was a nice love story, set in Hawaii between a child therapist and a wedding planned with an abused past. It was very interesting to see how they worked through all to their HEA. I did love Hercules his therapy dog. I recommend this author for a heartwarming love story

How a house brought two people together
I had a feeling at the beginning of this story that true love was going to prevail. It was definitely not easy. Charlotte and Dawson both had baggage, and their relationship was frequently difficult. The story about their past and their careers helped everything make sense. People in their lives, both in the past and the present, made everything seem very real. In the end there were many things to celebrate, including friends and family, but most importantly the happy couple.

Love the message of healing in this book
Walking a road of healing and learning to trust is very difficult after any type of abuse or assault. Learning to love is an even more difficult one. I related to the main female character and her difficulties and truly loved how the main male character interacted with her and was truly a God-send in his ability to exhibit such patience and peace. Loved reading this book!!!

What a good story about a tough subject. How do you know when you are ready for another relationship after the death of a much-loved spouse? Testing the waters is hard. Counseling is also hard but the two together might just work.Great job by a great author.

Finding a Kindred spirit
This is a clean well written story and I love the characters . Lisa Ashford was a party and wedding planner. She met Cal Lewiston, a carpenter, at a party. She asked him to dance. Cal has a fourteen years old daughter, Sierra. His wife died three years ago with cancer and he was having a hard time getting over it. He started dating Lisa but his daughter thought she was shallow. This story has lots of drama. I was given a ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion.

When Charlotte ‘s husband said he wanted a divorce because he met someone else Charlotte finished her jobs , sold her house and moved from South Carolina to Hawaii. Her husband remarried seven days after the divorce was final. She bought a fixer upper house so she could fix it up like she wanted. Upon arriving at the house she found Dawson under her kitchen sink trying to fix it. He hadn’t shut off the water valve and wound up spraying Charlotte and the kitchen with water. The owners were friends that lived off the Island. He was suppose to look after the place when he was working as a pilot who took people on helicopter tours. When they met they had an instant attraction. Dawson didn’t know the owners had sold the house. Being it was empty and he wanted to get away from his ex girlfriend he moved into the house. Charlotte didn’t have a job but she had a job interview with a wedding planner. After the interview she hadn’t heard anything from them so she called and had a second interview. After the second interview she got the job. She didn’t want to date Dawson but they did start to date. One day she saw her ex and his new wife on the Lavern island but they didn’t see her. She wasn’t over her ex yet and got upset. She called Dawson but he couldn’t answer because he was flying so, she called his work. When he called her back she was crying and broke up with him. She left town for a week and he flew home to see his family for Christmas. She eventually realized that she loved Dawnson and they got back together. He loved her and eventually they got married.

A very good book. Well worth reading
I was getting very angry with the Prince. I know he felt an obligation to his royalty but-he’s 31! Why did he allow his family to run his life for so long. I really like the story but would have liked to hear a little more about how the situation was resolved between the parents and him. It worked out for them but I would have like a little more info on the resolution of their issues.

She has reasons for thinking it might not be a good idea for her to date someone in law enforcement since she has a restraining order against her. They work it out to reach their HEA.

I love how Elana Johnson incorporates hard issues into her books. Physical and emotional abuse are real and this book gives insight into what people have to deal with in healing. Love the raw feelings in both sides but Shannon and Jeremiah found a way to hang on. Elana is one of my favorite authors!

Love can come at any age
I really enjoy the way this author plots the story. I feel like I’m part of the community when the characters from previous books are brought into the current one. It makes me think about the other stories as well. I also like that this book had some older (not really old!) people. I loved the way that Evan did some really good courting, and how Riley took a while to join in the fun. The story had some difficulties for the characters, and had a great ending. I just really enjoyed!

Riley found a watch while getting off the plane. Finding who it belonged to she agreed to meet in a local coffee shop. Evan couldn’t believe his luck while getting coffee. The most beautiful girl and she was flirting with him and didn’t seem to know who he was. Then she turned out to be the women who had found his watch. Riley couldn’t figure out what a whole known lead singer of a rock band wanted with her. Evan would pretty much do anything for Riley. Sweet romance. Loved Riley and Evan.
