Rissa (and Spencer) from the Eternal Hope series shares her family of outspoken, quick-tempered red-headed siblings in this series. Three hot- headed, high-irritable but deeply-passionate and fully-smitten cowboys who have reached middle age locked into 16 hour days on the farm. Enter the women who can motivate them to tamed their inner anger. Then there is the oldest sibling, who is stubbornly lost, finding her way back to love. The series epilogues are satisfying too, checking in at Eternal Hope before ensuring everyone’s happily ever after.

  2. Reid Moore

How in the world did that many grumpy cowboys wind up in one family? The red hair might have had something to do with it but at least they all found someone to tame the beast within and get their HEAs. Great books!

    Everyone deserves love

This story is simply two people with a lot going on. Will and Gretchen have both dealt with romantic heartbreak as well as heartbreak over a loved one. While they seem like opposites they are really quite similar. Gretchen is exactly what Will needs to smooth his rough edges. Will is what Gretchen needs to know that she is safe and loved. Really enjoyed this story and the characters in it. The Cooper family are good people with good hearts who work hard and are dedicated to their family business, the kind of people we all strive to be.

    Will & Gretchen

Will and Gretchen had a rough start for sure, but what a ride, as they built their relationship. The dynamic of the Cooper family makes the storyline so realistic for me, having grown up with 3 loud brothers whose presence only makes each other louder! As with her other books, this one can stand alone but it’s fun getting to see what characters from the other stories are up to. You will LOVE this installment to the series.

    Fantastic read

I loved this small town romance. A wonderful, uplifting read about moving forward, letting go of the past and being loved so completely it takes your breath away. The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story. Shayla & Travis’ chemistry is magical. This story is filled with dreams, hope and amazing characters. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

This story is so sweet-no pun intended!

Will Cooper is the grumpy cowboy who’s pre-diabetic and finds it hard to control his addiction to sweets as well as control his temper. Gretchen Bellows is the candy making, slightly clutzy women who keeps ruining his shirts. The first time they meet, she runs into his chest with caramel. The first time she hugs him, her hands are all muddy. Nothing seems to go right when they are together, but there’s enough electricity between them to almost make them forget that fact. This book is delicious-again no pun intended! You’ll love the fast paced craziness and swoon worthy scenes, as these two travel a very bumpy ride. Been enjoying this series very much and can’t wait for the next read – The Surly Cowboy to come out. Thank you Elana Johnson for a very entertaining series!

    grumpy but not with her

Loved Will and Gretchen was a sweet heart. He has a soft side when he is with her and is trying to not be so grumpy. She did irritate me when tragedy struck – thought she could have been kinder to Will but loved how it played out. Sweet romance and growth individually and with each other. Great series.

    great dialogue

This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from Bookspout.co.The cowgirl is just as salty as the the cowboy. Things are never going to be rainbows and unicorns with them…. But, they don’t like rainbows and unicorns. A timid partner just wouldn’t hold their interests. They like poking and teasing each other… apologizing with food and small or grand gestures.

    Change in attitude helps

Cross Cowboy is an entertaining read that will suck you in the story and make you feel like you are there. The Coopers have 3 sons that are single. They’re like Snow White’s dwarfs. Grumpy, Grumpier, Grumpiest. They are loud and say what they think without a filter. The youngest son, Travis met Shayla Nelson, owner of Sweetspot, the outdoor supply store newly opened in Sweet Water Falls. They have a run in at the feed store and when she comes back out he has left a note on her windshield. They start texting and talking and start dating. Since Travis met her several months ago on the side of the road and drove her to town, he left a bitter taste in her mouth about Kylie, her previous friend and co-owner of Sweetspot. Travis had dated Kylie and just before she packed up and left town she said Shayla stole Sweetspot from her. Travis wanted the story from Shayla as to what happened this time.Travis dates lasted approximately 2 months at best. He decided this time he is going to think before he spoke and take it slow. He even told Shayla to call him out if he got cross with her. They were a good couple as he was a farmer, milked cows 4 shifts a day. She being the owner of Sweetspot she worked sometimes late or had emergencies come up. They make a way to try to see if they could see each other each day if only for a short time. The holidays are coming up and when they go to her parent’s Halloween party they run into her last boyfriend that tells Travis he will be an ex boyfriend soon like him. Now Travis is concerned about what he is talking about and Shayla doesn’t want to talk about it. Their relationship after that takes a sharp hit and Travis cannot understand why. Well he almost made it to 3 months. . . . . . .

    Salty meet salty

Oh my, I think she might have been as salty as he was, but why the pull? We find hers came from a place of hurt and shame. I’m so glad she finally came back to her family and also that she was able to come clean and fully realize the unconditional love of her family and Jed. What a satisfying finish to the series. Each family member understands that family and love is more important than silly squabbles and they band together. The only loose end is Easton, maybe we’ll see him in another series ( hint, hint).I received this as an ARC and I couldn’t stop reading once I started. Clean with underlying Christian themes.

What a bunch of grumpy brothers!

Oldest brother Lee is a lonely single dad and envious of his two attached younger brothers. He does have his eye on single mom game developer Rosalie, but he seems to get rather tongue tied when it’s time to talk to her. There are many trials to go through before they get to smooth sailing. Another great written and interesting book for the Cooper family.I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book

    Fantastic Book!

I love all of Elana’s books. She’s a phenomenal author. Her characters are so real, and I feel like I know them. It was wonderful how Cherry finally got past all her struggles, and Jed supported and loved her through them. He also pushed her, and wouldn’t accept her being non committed on certain things. It was wonderful how she wrapped up the other characters as well. I can never put down her books when I start reading them. Highly recommend this book.

    Another Excellent Book

I loved this story and how vulnerable Lee became and finally able the break down all the walls he had built around himself. I also loved how he caused Rosalie to realize that she had an opinion of what she wanted and needed and how to bloom and become his Rose. What a ride this story was watching a diverse families become one unit finally realizing that each one had to change and adapt to the others needs. Excellent.

    Miscommunication

Travis and Shayla have very short relationships in their pasts and can not seem to get one that lasts. When they connect as she is stranded along the road, they do not get along at all. Travis had been dating her cousin before the women split and Shayla took over the outfitter company. Miscommunication plays a large part of this story and it is not just about the company. Both need to work on their social interactions and learn to support the other. The characters are well done with intense feelings and emotions. The storyline has drama, romance, surprises and twists. Family proves to be the one thing that is most important to them. Loved the banter and the open hearts that are accepting and true. Great ending and can not wait to read about his two brothers finding love.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I’ve been waiting for this next book in the series to come out. It is sooo good. The tension between Will and Gretchen is palpable. It’s so cute how much he likes her but can’t figure out how to push through such awkwardness each time. They finally make it work!!! Yay!!! Enjoy

    New series!

Great first book! Shayla owns an outfitter store and had a mysterious split with her cousin for the business. Travis and his two brothers and sister live and work a huge family owned dairy farm in Texas. There first meet when he rescues her from the side of the road when her car breaks down. He wasn’t very cordial to her as he was dating her cousin before she left town. Being somewhat isolated on the farm, all three brothers tend to be loud, outspoken and unruly missing many of the social niceties. Well, when he runs into Shay at the feed store he thinks he wants to ask her to the ball he sees advertised on a flyer.Neither of them have extensive dating history and sometimes things become awkward. Throw in some misunderstandings and miscommunication. Now you got problems. As expected, this was very well written with well developed characters and a deep love of family.I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book

    A great romance!

This is a great romantic read! A lovely story about two people who knew each other long ago and didn’t act on it but find each other again later on! William is what we call a negative ninny who finds the wrong thing in any situation whereas Gretchen is a lot more positive despite what life throws at her. It’s a great western romance that’s sweet and has its funny laugh out loud moments and a hea maybe??

    great characters and story.

Once again, great characters and story. The main couple had gone to school together and were attracted to each other, but never acted on it and didn’t think now would be a good time to act. A collapsed roof sets other things in motion. The main characters have some serious discussions touching on their faith, so this is overtly Christian, but not preachy. I believe that these brothers think “romantic” equals “flowery” when they say they aren’t romantic. They are so very romantic in their honest, upright actions that flowery speech pales in comparison. This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author.

    LOVED it!

Absolutely loved this read! The loud Cooper boys are tamed 1 by 1 by feisty women in this series! Lee and Rosalie have a turn at romance in Surly Cowboy, and oh what a ride! After getting noticed after Rosalie’s presentation in school, the serious Lee Cooper tries to drum up other ways to connect with her and invite her as his date to his brother’s wedding. The only problem is, the tough and handsome cowboy becomes tongue tied every time he’s near Rosalie. Good thing Rosalie is a patient woman who can’t get the serious and surly cowboy off her mind! She’s just what Lee needs, but can it work?Loved the interactions between the Cooper siblings as they all pitch in to love and support one another, despite their shortfalls. Also Lee’s son Ford and Rosalie’s daughter Autumn are a fun insert into this story–especially how quickly Autumn has the surly cowboy twisted around her little pinkie finger. And Ford steps up with responsibility in helping out.And FINALLY there’s “the kiss”–absolutely swoonworthy! And speaking of kissing, we are introduced to Cherry and Jed who look to be featured in the next book, Salty Cowboy. Can’t wait! I totally recommend this entire series–what a delight!I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.

    Not perfect

Ahhh Will! He tries so hard to tame his genetic redhead temper and gruffness. Gretchen just knows there are so many more layers to him and can’t wait to peel them back. But they both have demanding businesses to run and ailing parents to care for and carving out time to be together is almost impossible! A wonderful story of being perfectly imperfect for each other!

    Sparks Fly!

This is book one in the Cooper Brothers series. The Cooper family is red headed and outspoken. They can be blunt, but they love each other. The family owns a large farm. This is Travis’ story. Travis is the youngest son. He is in charge of the dairy portion of the farm. He doesn’t date much because his date will always tell him that he’s too blunt and works too much.He invites Shayla to the fall ball. Shayla and her best friend/business partner split 4 years ago and she’s been trying to run her business on her own. She works a lot of hours too.Travis has to learn to be considerate and not so blunt. Shayla needs to decide if she is married to her job or if she wants to date Travis.Really enjoyed this book!

    Finale

This is the finale of a great series. My favourite line was said by Cherry, “Yes, he’s salty, but I think I might be saltier.” That describes both of them and it was interesting to see how the author was going to give Cherry the backbone to forgive herself and see what was in front of her. Love how she lets Jed know she loves him. I really enjoyed that the author did not stop at their engagement but also give us some insight into all the siblings and their next steps in their lives. What I really like was that Chrissy got to see it all. Here is my second favourite line from Rose. “Rose closed her eyes and thought, Thank you for allowing me to find a place to belong on that farm.” This is family, loud and loving. I would recommend this book and series to all.

    Great story.

Two of the three gruff boys on Sweet Water Falls Farm figured out how to love and be loved by great women and so Lee figures he can, too. His pride and his insecurity, however, get in his way.Rosalie is no better. They can each picture a life with the other, but their words, actions or inactions get in the way of making it real. The Cooper family play a big part in building the firm foundation this couple needs… although they are often the reason for the miscommunications, too. 🙂 This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author.

The strong cowboy has a soft side too!

I totally LOVE this series! This time up it’s Will Cooper’s turn for some romance, but his first run in (literally) with Gretchen is far from romantic, especially when he yells and storms away! But Will’s non-stop thoughts of Gretchen make him want to do better and try again. After several failed attempts to connect with Gretchen, Will finally asks her to go on a date. And then changes his mind! This strong cowboy has a soft side to him, and it’s up to Gretchen to help Will embrace it. But does Gretchen have time for Will with her hectic schedule working long hours taking over her candy shop, caring for her ailing father and aunt? Only time will tell. And right when things look like they could be smooth sailing ahead. . . a few twists! I highly recommend this clean cowboy romance with its crazy loud cowboy family, humor, heart, and so much more! Authentic Characters make this a fun read

Sometimes romance novels can become formulaic and trite. This fun story is anything but! Will Cooper is a guy who struggles to make his inner self match how he is perceived by others. His natural grumpiness lends some comedic moments to the story. I loved watching how Will grew over the course of the story.

    Cherry’s Story

Cherry is the oldest of the Cooper siblings and the last to get married. She left Sweet Water Falls 10 years ago and now moves back to be closer to her family. This is the final story in the series. I love how the author puts it all together and even gives an epilogue of all the siblings. If you haven’t read the other books in the series, you might get lost, but it’s a very good read.I love how the Cooper siblings are over-the-top loud, but love with a passion.

Welcome to Sweet Water Falls Farm!

Travis is a part of the family dairy business and is responsible for the milking of thousands of cows every day. Shayla owns her own outdoor outfitters company that she has built from nothing. Their work and dedication to that work makes it hard for them to find time for each other. Both of them have families with huge personalities. Can they change their priorities to have a relationship with each other? Don’t miss this latest clean romance from Elana Johnson. You will be able to catch up with Spencer and Clarissa from Risky Cowboy and meet the Cooper brothers that makeup this new series. You will love it!

    Sweet & Salty!

I loved this cowboy romance. The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story. The characters were quirky, with a magnetic chemistry & are unapologetic in their ways. From the moment I first opened the book, to the second I finished it, I was transfixed. I didn’t just read this story, I lived it. Every truth, lie, happiness, and anger was felt to my very bones. Isn’t it just so great when you find one of those books that completely drags you in, makes you fall in love with the characters, and demands that you sit on the edge of your seat for every nail-biting moment of it? This is one of those series for me.

    Can they overcome?

Jed and Cherry seem to have an on again off again thing going on. Jed doesn’t want a long distance relationship, 2 hour drive, and she doesn’t want to live in their hometown. Problem is, they are perfect for each other, both salty and call each other out. They are both in their 40s, envious of the relationships that their siblings have and want to be in love with their own person and be loved in return. The baby boom isn’t making it any easier. I think they have self confidence issues and need to get out of their own way. Another great read in this series!!. Cross Cowboy – Good Read

This was my first book I’ve read by this author. Though this is the fourth book in this series I was able to follow and enjoy this romantic story that is about Travis Cooper and Shayla Nelson. The drama that unfolds as they meet again after Shayla was accused taking Travis ex-girlfriend’s business was an intriguing beginning of this enemy to lover story. The characters were likable, and the storyline was engaging in this copy I’d received and volunteer to read and review.

I think she is as salty as the cowboy!!!

This is the last book in the family Saga of the Cooper family, I thought it was a perfect end, it wound up the stories perfectly, and to see Cherry get her HEA was AWESOME. You get to find out why she is so jaded and what really happened to her to make her move away form her home town and the family she loves so much!! I love that this family is less than perfect, they argue and yell, and Cherry’s love interest in the book, Jed, fits right in. LOVED the book, LOVED the series. Clean and no swearing as always with Elana Johnson, just GREAT writing that draws you in from the start.

He turned grumpiness into an art form.

What an interesting premise to write a series about a family of argumentative grumpy cowboys and the women who can see below the surface and see the hardworking, softhearted good men underneath the bad attitude. The Coopers run a dairy farm with thousands of cows to be milked and cared for daily and it’s overwhelming especially as it’s nonstop. You can’t just take a break without there being repercussions. Will found this when he took a break for the New Years celebration, Gretchen found this when she took a day with Will and her candy making shop caught on fire. Then she’s so stressed that Wills help seems more of an intrusion and she pushes him away.Elana does a great job as both characters have to change and be willing to accept help, and understand that by working together and loving unconditionally they are stronger and better together. Even if their relationship is kind of different and goes down different paths than a conventional relationship. Clean and wholesome.

    Part of a series

I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Lee Cooper gets up his courage and asks kid’s game developer Rosalie Reynolds to attend his brother’s wedding with him. She won’t agree until they have a date first. From there, things get interesting with their relationship as each of them learn how to relate to the other. A sweet future

The Grumpy Cowboy is the title given to Will Cooper. He was 40 years old and single. Living on the Cooper farm helping with the milking and agriculture side of the business is a long day of work 7 days a week. But the day he meets Gretchen Bellows his life changes. She helps him show a different side of his self that he usually did not show. But the one thing Gretchen knew was she wanted to be inside his arms for the rest of her life. And things was going great till she takes a day off from her candy store and it catches on fire. Will did everything for her that was needed and tried to make it easier on her. That sounds nice till she tells Will to stop coming everyday asking her all kinds of questions she didn’t know. So he does just that. He then goes back to being the grumpy cowboy in front of his brothers, but shows Rissa a different side, the side that was braking.

    Family matters

Salty Cowboy tells the falling in love story of Cherry, the last single Cooper and Jed who lived the next farm over all these years. Cherry had moved back from San Antonio and she started to hear things about what happened 12 years ago that caused her to leave. Her and Jed together made for a good couple but the trip to get to love was a rollercoaster for them. The rollercoaster jumped the rails a couple of times but thank goodness for family. Their advice always helped. In this book we read of Lee and Rose marrying and combining their family and Will and Gretchen getting married. Time rolls by and the limbs are being added to the Cooper family tree very fast. They all are living in cabins on the family farm with the exception of Wayne and Chrissy living in the big main house till Lee gets married and then they play shuffle the family cabins. Cherry lives in Short Tail until she married Jed and they move just to the next farm over at the back of the Cooper ranch to run a rescue ranch. All these Cooper siblings had irritability issues until they find their happily ever after person. Some may have blamed it on their red hair, some because they were growing older and single. Being a farm sibling responsible for the milking production and delivery pickups, making of cheese and ice cream from the ingredients on the farm to sell in their on site store, and the care of cows and horses and growing hay for the winter feedings keep them busy to where dates can be tricky and it takes just the right person to be a spouse to that type of person. Each of the spouses are happy to live on the farm and have adjusted to farm hours.I received a ARC copy of this book for my honest review.

    Great book!

Shay and Travis have a very interesting story. I enjoyed the fact that Travis is very mindful of thinking before speaking. He knew he had a problem with this and was willing to change when he met Shay. This is a very interesting and inspiring story. Looking forward to the next book. The Cooper family are exciting people.

I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. This new series by Elana Johnson, has a great start with this book. I enjoyed the family interactions and the situations presented. Travis and Shayla both have trust issues in themselves and others. Both have cut and run in the past when relationships got hard. Entertaining

Salty Cowboy is the story of Cherry and Jed, 2 forty-somethings that have difficulties navigating a relationship.I loved that this author did not shy away from a tough subject matter, nor did she try to sugarcoat the toxic effect that secrets can have on relationships. I also loved that the main characters were flawed. This novel is a stand-alone story which is easily read, with enough details into the other characters and their backstories so one does not get lost in the pages. Elana Johnson has written a wonderful novel regarding the powers of love and forgiveness, especially the necessity of forgiving one’s self.4 1/2 stars.. Great read!!

I really enjoyed this book! Maybe because it’s about characters that have lived a little more of their life before settling down. It gives hope that not everyone has to settle down and get married right out of the gate. The characters each have unique persona that needs a little of the opposite person to give them hope. I couldn’t put the book down once I started it and can’t wait for the next book!! I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

He looses it and leaves. He later goes back to apologize.Gretchen is running her aunt’s sweets shop and taking care of her father who is sick. She also has a lot of stress in her life.I loved this story. Will and Gretchen must learn to be patient and work with each other. To not run off when things get tough.

    Oldest Sibling!!

I love that this story is about the oldest sibling last! It’s not new young love, it’s older seasoned love that knows how to wait and grow together!! Excellent abs fun read!!

Elana does it again, she draws us in with this unlikely family of farmers. Travis is part of the Cooper family, his sister had her story, and it was also great, but Travis’s story makes us more invested in this family. They are hard workers, they are loud and in each other’s business. They are lovable and wonderful, mama is their soft spot!! The Coopers are farmers and work a lot of hours.Shayla has her own business too, and she also works a ton of hours and has her own set of issues!!I felt like this pair was unlikely, yet worked perfectly two strong willed and minded people with HUGE job commitments. I loved to see Travis’s softer side and Shay’s too! These two have chemistry and it is a great read about how they maneuver through all their feeling and commitments! This is a clean book, can be read alone with out having read the one before, and no cliff hangers.

    A second chance at love

Surly Cowboy is a story that will bring you laughter, tears, and a feeling of just needing to shake Rose and Lee at times. They let their anger get in their way and also left the other out of important matters of their family feeling as they didn’t need to know. Lee was getting help from different people as to where to take Rose or what gift to get for her, Autumn and Thumper. Rose worried she might not be good enough for Lee. All the while dancing around each other like they never had been in love before, they both wanted a second chance at love and a family made up of a mommy and daddy in the home. They also wanted children of their own. Wayne and Chrissy had told them that they were to move into the family home as it was time for them to take a smaller cabin to live in. Rose told Lee he needed to get his act together as she was ready to marry him and move to the farm. Rose was finally standing up for what she wanted in life. It seemed to work with Lee.

I really enjoyed this story of Will and Gretchen. Will had a short temper and didn’t always think before he speaks. Gretchen like him a lot, but he just couldn’t seem to ask her out. Lee and Rosalie

Lee Cooper really liked Rosalie Reynolds. He asked her to go with him to his brother’s wedding. She liked Lee, too, but wanted to have a real date before she decided if she would go. She didn’t want her daughter to see Lee until she was sure that they were going to be good together. Lee had the heavier jobs at his family’s farm, and many times he had too much to take care of everything without letting Rosalie down. It was okay as long as he let her know, but she really had a major problem when he didn’t show up and didn’t call. When he was hours late for their date, she had already changed back to comfy clothes and was really mad when he showed up. She just wanted him to leave. There were other problems, too. Lee finally brought everyone together to go to see Rosalie to show her how much he loved her. This is a lovely story!

Love this story about Travis and Shayla. Sharla originally didn’t like him because he accused her of steeling his ex girlfriend’s company. But she couldn’t deny the sparks that fly when they are in the same room. So he leaves a note on her truck and invites her to the Fall Ball. She decides he needs to pass a test first before she spends money on a dress and shoes. Travis and his family is loud and opinionated, but Shayla loves being around them. The one problem they have is they both work a lot, and it is hard to find time to spend together. A great story!

    When happiness comes

This family is full of love, joy, and holds the family close. Cherry was the oldest child and the last to marry. All the other silblings’ were married or engaged. Cherry and Jed had been dating, but things turned south and it took a while to get the two of them on the same page. Loved!

Cherry, the oldest Cooper sibling, has finally decided it’s time for her to come home to Sweet Water Falls so she can be there for her elderly parents, reconnect with her siblings and their spouses, and be the best aunt possible to each of their children. She tells herself that it has nothing to do with Jed, the cowboy at the farm next door, but she can’t help but be attracted to him even though he is just as salty as she is. I think contrary Cherry is my favorite Cooper sibling because I got to understand some of the hurts of her past and see how she attempts to control what happens with her salty attitude so she can protect herself. Jed was perfect for her. This has been a fun series and I hate to see it end. I love that the author wrote such a detailed epilogue catching us up on all the family news. I hope we will get to see what happens to Jed’s brother, Easton, in a future book. I received an ARC from the author and this voluntary review contains my honest opinions.

For a person working hard to prevent diabetes to fall for a candy shop owner is a good start to a challenging love story – controlling his blood sugar isn’t this cowboy’s only personal challenge – short tempered and often brusque adds to the mix. I received an ARC but honestly would have bought this book – like the author and loving this irascible family

Can Jed & Cherry’s Rollercoaster ???? make it?

In Elana Johnson’s Wonderful, Page-Turning, Sweet Romance, “Salty Cowboy (Sweet Water Falls Farm Romance Book 4)”; you’ll find out how these two lonely people, navigate a bumpy Second ????, to get to their Lifetime ????!I ❤️ that Cherry finds it easier to “show” her feelings & “saltiness” by her “actions”; while Jed shows his “saltiness” & feelings with his “words”. I ❤️ that their family Farms are next to each other. I ❤️ that the characters & their storylines from the previous ????, are also concluded in this ????. Someone to be Kind Too

I read those five words in the book. It really did seem like that’s what carried this book from the beginning to the end.Again, with this author’s writings, the family setting is important. Siblings that argue and laugh together.Being yourself can be difficult, though that’s what this couple enjoys about one another. Good characters in this story.Looking forward to reading another book by this author.

    The Love of a Cowboy

I enjoyed this book because of family ties, support and respect. Much laughter and some quarrels, which also adds the spice of apologizing. The author brings in family members from both of the main characters to uncover their understanding of each other. One can almost picture the layout of the farm and the community. It will be interesting reading more of this author’s books.

    4.5 Stars – A Solid Sweet Romance

The only thing that could’ve made this better was maybe a tighter focus on the particular MCs. I want to know about the other characters…just not in this story. I will keep reading the series as I’m able because I enjoy this author’s work. This story will probably end up as maybe my third favorite in the series, but we’ll see. I had a bit of trouble relating to the heroine, though she and the other characters did come across as people who could actually exist. The hero was much easier to relate to with his particular struggle with temper and speaking his mind. He was sweet, though. If you enjoy sweet, clean, contemporary romance with a dash of faith then try this book.

Will Cooper comes from a family culture of people who frankly speak their minds–loudly. But he is willing to change for Gretchen, a beautiful woman who owns the local candy store. However, try as hard as he might, Will can’t change. I loved this story about being accepted and loved for (and sometimes in spite of) who we are, even with our flaws. I recommend it! Cherry and Jed have a sweet love story. They began dating long distance when they met up at a wedding but Jed broke it off because he couldn’t do the long distance. Now her sister is having a baby and Cherry is unhappy with being so far away from her family even though she has ghosts of the past that tend to make her not want to return. While home she and Jed rekindle there relationship and become closer. What happens when Jed learns her secret? The Sweet Water Falls Farm stories make a really good series. This is the last installment and the author has included an Epilogue with each of the Cooper children as the focus. That makes this particular book even better in my opinion.

A great finale to the Cooper family saga. While Cherry is the oldest, she is the last to find her happily ever after. Because of mistakes from her past, she can’t forgive herself and has a hard time letting people, especially men, into her life. Jed Forrester, the salty cowboy next door pushes his way in and helps her find a way to forgive. Of course it is not always a smooth road as Cherry resists him along the way. The Cooper family is a loud group of red heads who fight and push each other, but also love each other deeply. I loved this series and no one can write wedding scenes like Elena.

One surly red hair Cowboy and a sassy hard working business owner-there’s sparks all over.

Travis and Shayla don’t do relationships at least not long term-2 months max. Something about a nonstop milking schedule and owning your own thriving business makes relationships more work than they’re worth. Then Travis also has a mouth with no filter and red hair to match and two brothers the same has put a strain on things before they even start. Why then do they both have a hard time thinking of anyone else? See how this unlikely pair slowly figure things out. As always this is clean and sweet, but don’t forget some scorching kisses. There are two more grumpy, surly brothers that we get to see some rough edges smoothed off in this series. I can’t wait. Elana always tells a great story and is always a good recommendation. She’s one of my must read authors.

Elana has done it again. She never fails to write a story that makes me smile. Will and Gretchen’s story fits so well with the other Cooper stories. Can’t wait to see what happens with Lee in the next story.

Everyone is cheering them on- if can get out of his own way.

When you read a superb story like this, it makes you appreciate a good story teller. The three Cooper brothers had no reason for tact when their MO was gruff, loud and argumentative. That is until they each spotted The One. These women saw beneath their bluff and bluster to the soft hearts underneath. Lee is the oldest son and yes surly is a good adjective. When he first came into Rosalie’s orbit, he was gobsmacked and couldn’t get a word out, when he did the words and tone came out all wrong. He made snafu after snafu in their relationship as he tried to navigate his way through the quagmires of social niceties. Rosalie saw under the bluster but even she could only handle so much-is Lee ever going to let go of his pride to convince her of his commitment and feelings?I received this as an ARC and I’m happy to review it. Clean and wholesome and wonderful.

    Loved it!

Travis’s family is loud hard working people. Shay is working hard to make her business grow and she feels out of her element with Travis’s family. But they have a relationship that is coming together if they can just communicate.

    Grumpy? Maybe

The Coopers are a loud and rambunctious family. I love that they are so well defined, each with his/her own personality. Will and Gretchen certainly have a tumultuous relationship. And it was great to see the ups and downs, the joy and disappointment as they worked things out. I love how they learn to deal with their new awkwardness.

Each book this author writes keeps getting better and better

I loved Will’s and Gretchen’s story. I loved the basis of the story and each character in it. The author knows how to weave the characters together to keep you reading well into the night. Oh, well another night without sleep, but so worth it. Family and loyalty means a lot to Will and Gretchen and so does their work. You will have to read to see if it works out for them. I will most likely read this book again. I was given this book by the author and this is happy volunteer review. I can hardly wait for the next story, Surly Cowboy. This book deserves the five stars I gave it.

    surly Cowboy

I loved this family saga of grumpy cowboys and cowgirls. They are fun, entertaining and have enough real life problems to make it realistic.

    Love will win

This is another great story from Elana Johnson. We met this couple in a previous book so I knew what the characters were like, that it was not a love at first sight book. Travis is a very busy man with a lot of responsibilities and carries that weight. He comes from a family of loud people, they argue because they are passionate. Shayla is very busy with her own business and carries a lot of personal burdens as well. The story unfolds for both characters with give and take along the way. The story is their journey on acceptance, strength and love to find their happy ever after. It is well written and I love the characters for being real. The issues are real the way they deal with them are real and the love they find is real. Wonderfully written and I enjoyed every chapter.

    Great!

All families are different and that’s a good thing. Travis’ and Shay’s families and their reactions to difficulties are totally different. Learning to be willing to change your reactions can lead to wonderful and blessed outcomes.

    She tamed the surly cowboy!

What’s not to like! Elana Johnson delves into Lee Cooper’s life and shows us his surliness and stubbornness, and how it almost cost him the perfect girl for him. Besides being a great read about Lee and Rosalie, it’s heartwarming to read about and feel the love of their families as well. LOVE this series and can’t wait to read about Cherry next!

    Part of a series

I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Elana Johnson has done a fantastic job with the characters in this book. She has a way of making ordinary people with everyday flaws into great characters. I really enjoyed reading this book. Three brothers, this book about Will who can’t get a date with Gretchen without some embarrassing event happening. Great plot and related themes in this book including parents with declining health. I highly recommend it.

    Sweet Love

Another one hit out of the park. Nothing like a sweet romance to make the world feel right. I want to move to Sweat Water Falls.
