Great small town romance
Bea loves making lists about everything but her best list is her love list. This is the list of things she wants to do once her divorce is finalized. Thanks to her friends, Bea is on her way to Hilton Head after her divorce is finalized. She just plans to walk on the beach, and think about her new life. Then she meets Grant who manages the house she is renting. Sparks fly but can they last since Grant lives on Hilton Head and she lives in Texas. When she leaves Hilton Head to return to Texas for her Daughters graduation and wedding planning party, Bea’s intentions are to return to Hilton Head but then her father breaks his hip and Bea decides she must stay in Texas. Will Bea continue with her love list but forget her love for Grant, or will fate and friends bring the two together again?

Wonderful!
This is such a fantastic addition to this wonderful series. I love the wonderful characters in this series, and the storyline that seems so real. I love this story of Scott and Joy, I also like how Joy really put thought into what she was doing and not moving to quick, but I was so excited when she finally figured out how she really felt about Scott. I love how we get to hear about all the friends throughout this book as well as the others in this series. And I felt even more into this story as I have just returned from my trip to Hilton Head Island, Beaufort and Savannah all mentioned in this book. I highly recommend this story; it is so wonderful and draws you in.

A real life romance
While not exactly ” real” life, an older woman with an ex husband, aging parents, and adult children is not your typical romance heroine. MS Johnson has created a cast of believable characters. I look forward to more of her books.

Friendship, romance and sunsets
Another good read from Hilton Head. This series of best friends in their middle to late forty’s. They have raised their children, been through divorce, lost a spouse or hadn’t found the right one yet. This story is focused mainly on Lauren. She is a career woman that had never had a man sway her like Blake did. But she lives in Texas and he lived in S. Carolina. When a shocking event happened with her job, she was at a loss. The sweet romance is filled with life changing decisions, custody battles, and many tender moments. I encourage you to read these books in the order written, and follow these wonderful friends as they navigate change that comes with everyday living. Well written and very engaging 4.5 stars

Great story!
This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author. The relationships seem realistic and the situations they find themselves in all too common. There’s a bit of drama from the couple, but also a lot of believable romance.Lauren hides her insecurity pretty well, but somehow Blake sees it. As their friendship grows and deepens he understands her fears and her coping mechanisms and doesn’t let her pull away. He tells her with actions first and then words that he loves and values her… and it’s exactly what she needs. She, in turn, loves him and his son… all in. She accepts them as a bundle and that the boy’s needs sometimes come first… even if she has to fight off her insecurities first. 🙂

Oil and water
I like this series about friends in a Supper Club who moved, one by one, from Texas to Hilton Head. They are older women, many finding love in the latter half of life. They have older children, living their own lives.Oliver owns a Smoothie Shop on Hilton Head. He is a handsome Southern Gentleman, but somewhat difficult personality. Bessie and her daughter Wynona, Wyn for short, opened a bakery on Hilton Head after moving from Texas. Sparks fly between Oliver and Bessie, mostly coming from the friction between them. They have a difficult relationship. Both still dealing with baggage from their pasts. Can they smooth things out? I have received an ARC of this book and am giving an honest review.

Very Clean and Very Romantic
I really enjoyed reading this book about the bonds of friendship and romance. Bea went through a difficult divorce and when she receives the final papers, she felt out of sorts on wondering what she will do next in her life. Her unique knack for making lists to keep her on track was named “The Love List”. Bea’s friends encourage her to get away, and even books the trip for her to Hilton Head to enjoy the beach. I enjoyed the “sisterhood ” of the women and the way they helped each other when faced with challenges. Their love for each other is amazing. I totally recommend reading this book especially if you are a hopeless romantic!!!!????

This story started with heartache, and slowly evolved to a beautiful new love. Cass decided to visit a friend and found much more than a friend just a few houses down. Part of a series
I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Bessie Clifton and her daughter Wynona open a bread store in Hilton Head and she decides to participate in the Heritage Festival. She is paired with Oliver Blackhurst who owns the Mad Mango smoothie shop. She learns a lot from working with Oliver and starts dating him, but his dark moods often cause her distress, but she sees his softer side and her sunshine brings out the best in him. This uplifting book spotlights differences in people and how to understand and get along with others. A great addition to this interesting series.

Continuing the adventure
I have read all the books in this series and I love how Elana gives each woman a unique story but weaves them all together also. I really enjoyed how Joy struggles to make major decisions. Not all decisions in life are cut and dry and this was evident here. And Scott didn’t push her to make any decisions. A great overall book. I am excited to read the next books in this series.

This is Bessie’s story, she and her daughter move to Hilton Head to start a bakery, Bessie is a lovely character who feels overlooked. Enter Oliver, he doesn’t over look her, he drives her insane. They are have to work on a project together, sparks fly. This is one of my favorite pairings in this series, which is a GREAT over 50 series. What will she decide?
Bea has just received her final divorce papers at 45, has empty nested and is lonely. She has spent her life writing lists so she does forget anything. Her lists have lists. She writes up a bucket list that she calls her lovelist. Her Thursday night supper club makes reservations and ship her off to Hilton Head to go in the ocean. Mind you, the ocean is an hour drive out of her home in Texas. Where is she going to meet someone her age? She meets Grant, the rental owner of her cottage and is he enamored with her! The problem is that they live a few thousand miles away from each other. She is called home when her father falls and breaks his hip. Issues, issues and issues….. what to do. Well, she has a posse that don’t find it beneath them to plot.Well written and a very enjoyable read for this old lady!I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book

Love the connection between the characters!
As a planner, I could relate to Joy’s desire to have a clear blueprint for her life as she considered the possibility of leaving her kids and all that was familiar behind in order to join her friends in Hilton Head, SC. One important piece of the puzzle was her relationship with Scott whom she had been talking with daily online for months and where was that going? I really enjoyed watching Joy figure things out and decide just how much of a blueprint was necessary before she could take the leap and make a permanent move. My favorite parts of the book (and the series) concerned the relationships between the women in the supper club. Oh to have such a wonderful group of friends who have become chosen family! This author really knows how to bring a sense of family to life. I can’t wait for Bessie’s story in the next book (please hurry Elana). Highly recommend! Another fantastic read. To be honest I usually don’t like stories about older couples, but this whole series has changed my mind drastically. Oliver and Bessie both have come out of hurtful situations that really shaped who they had become. It was so much fun reading about how they started bringing about changes in each other. Get ready for lots of ahs and sighs.
What an amazing fun beach read. Six women that have a Saturday Night Dinner Club and help each other through all of life’s ups and downs. Bea was suddenly left adrift after her husband found someone new after 25 years and her 3 kids grown and in university and making their own lives. After a 14 month divorce process she’s free to have a Love List -not a bucket list, but things she would love to do. The friends arranged for her to go to Hilton Head island for a 10- day getaway. Her cottage manager is Grant, a handsome 40 something with a teenager daughter. Both felt something they hadn’t dared even dream they would feel again. Life happens and family happens and they wonder if it really was just a vacation fling. This is a clean beach read, but with real feelings and sizzle. Life and love can happen after 40.

Another great book by Elana Johnson. She never disappoints. This is a great start to a new series of books. Starting over after the death of a spouse is not always easy but this book defines it perfectly. It can be just as good, just different, than before. I truly enjoyed this story and look forward to the rest of the series.

Beautiful story of love and friendship
Cass finds her life turned upside down when her husband suddenly dies, leaving her with a big house full of memories in a small town in Texas. Harrison is divorced and owns a successful construction company on Hilton Head. When Cass visits Bea and Grant (from book 1) she meets Harrison and while there’s a bit of interest there, nothing happens for a couple more years. At that point, Cass is ready to move on and likes the idea of moving to the island. She buys an almost-finished house three doors down from Harrison and the sparks begin to fly. But neither her grown twin daughters or younger son want her to sell the family home, move across the country and especially get involved with another man. It seems like it’s all over until she gets her back up and expresses to them all what she wants and what she’s going to do to get it. All her girlfriends from Texas support her and they adore him and even her parents think he’s wonderful. At this rate, by the time we come to the end of this series, the whole girlfriend supper club will be living on the East Coast. Another fabulous story about the importance of friendship, family and love.

I love Bea’s idea of a “Love” list. I am a maker of lists myself but not to her extent. Grant is the perfect man for her and I am so happy she is getting her happily ever after. My Favorite Elana Johnson book so far
I’ve read a lot of books by Elana Johnson. But this book is way more than a romance. It was about a middle aged woman, Bea, who has close friends that she sees regularly. After a drawn out divorce, 14 months of fighting with her ex, the divorce is final. Bea is a great maker of lists and she’s written out a list for what she wants to do, sort of a bucket list, but more a list of enjoyable or challenging things she wants to try. Her friends book her into a water front cottage on Hilton Head Island. She starts working on her list and meets a man – maybe THE man. But she’s a long way from home and life goes on.This book is a clean story about friendship, family, and love. Anyone can read it.I received a copy of this book from the author. A very poignant story of a middle aged woman, Cass and how she copes with the sudden death of her husband. AWESOME SUMMER READ
This story is a wonderful, endearing tale of a woman who is trying to unstick her life from being stuck in “boring, normal, not-needed” mode. She uses lists for anything and everything in her life and her “love list” tells about it all (so I wont). I enjoyed the characters and felt like I was right there in the middle of the women’s group meetings and right along the beach at Hilton Head. Elana Johnson is the bestest and never disappoints in her story telling. I highly recommend this book if you want to have some laughs, tears, joy, sorrow, and a “just-plain feel good feeling.

The family bonding and drama is intense The fun and constant care the supper club friends share is inspiring. To have a group that knows you inside and out, stands up for you and supports you, even through difficult times, everyone needs that kind of friendship. Loved it!
Lauren had a rough childhood and it taught her that she needs to make plans and execute them well because she is the only one she can depend on. It was working pretty well for her until all of a sudden, it wasn’t. Handsome and charming Blake has already learned that life is messy and sometimes things don’t work out the way you planned. I loved their story of learning to understand and lean on one another. There were lots of sparks and romantic kisses. I also really have enjoyed the ongoing stories of the ladies in the supper club that run throughout the series. Their friendships are inspirational. Loved the book! I received an ARC from the author and this voluntary reviews contains my honest opinions.

Great story
This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author.Scott is so wonderful. He is patient and supportive, and clearly telegraphs his feelings for her.Joy is so insecure. She needs to study her blueprint before taking the next step so she’s sure it’s the right step. This idea of moving South Carolina was not part of her original plans. Add this new romance..I love that the main characters’ friends and (most of) their families are so supportive.I closed the book with a happy smile.

Clean, sweet romance with lovable characters
The fourth installment in Elana Johnson’s delightful Hilton Head Island series, this book follows a group of 40/50-something ladies who forged a strong bond when they started a Supper Club back in Sweet Water, TX. As they begin to migrate to Hilton Head, you can almost hear the ocean waves rolling as you immerse yourself in the story. I’ve enjoyed each of the books in this series, and this one didn’t disappoint. Elana Johnson’s characters are so warm and so real that you’d like to jump into the story and join their Supper Club yourself. She has a way of inviting you into the story, and whether the characters are teens or older adults or somewhere in between, they are endearing and with the help of their friends, they always work through their issues in time for the happily ever after ending. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series! I received this book as an ARC reader and this is my honest opinion.

Beautiful Story of Love Lost and Love Found Agai
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Cassandra and Harrison and watching them fall in love. It was so easy for Cass to advocate for herself with her kids and friends. They only saw her with West so it was difficult for them to see her with Harrison. He had her back and I think that helped her stand up and stand out. A lesson more of us string later in life women need to learn.

Part of a series
I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Lauren Keller moved to Hilton Head Island, but when she was called back to Texas by her boss she found the company in disarray and her job gone and narrowly escaping indictments herself. Her boyfriend Blake Williams also has his own problems with his ex-wife’s boyfriend being nasty to his son. The plot features trust, self-concept, and fighting for family. An interesting and heartwarming book.

Makes you rethink divorce.
When I first read the blurb about this book, I didn’t think I would like it. But I forgot about the writing ability of Elana Johnson. I really was engrossed in this book and it made me rethink my own divorce. I was of the mind when my marriage ended after twenty years, that I was one and done. Ironically my marriage ended over a women named Beatrice, you got to find humor in that. I wish I knew about a love list then. Now I wonder what I missed. Bea realized that she had put herself in a box that she needed to get out of. I loved the characters in this book, especially Bea and Grant and their tribe of friends. Excellent read and you will not be disappointed in the reading of this book. I was given this book by the author, to give a honest review. I can hardly wait for Cass’s story.

Loved loved the do-over wishes they share with each other. Bessie and Oliver have a rocky start with sparks flying. I love reading about older couples – those not in their teens, twenties or even thirties – shows we all desire love no matter our age. Seeing them navigate their past relationship issues, family, friends and their own businesses was one great read. We all still need to grow and mature. I always love going back to Hilton Head Island and catching up with the ladies and their men. Looking forward to Sage’s book.

Hilton head older couple romance
This is the story of Joy who belongs to a supper club, you can read the 3 books that this follows, but if you don’t, you will be able to catch up just fine, if you DO, well you get to see how the others are doing, which is amazing. Joy is a surviver from a traumatic marriage and divorce, so she is gun shy for a relationship, Scott has never been married, but is the kindest and most patient man. I loved this slow burn book so much. if you are a fan of clean romamce with characters who are not young and have been through a bit of life, this IS the book for you. LOVED it!!!

Great story
Another great story from the supper club. Lauren is dealt a big blow when the company she has worked for is shut down because of embezzlement. She keeps it from her friends because she doesn’t want to spoil Cass’s wedding. She decides to give Blake Williams another chance and things heat up quickly. Lauren tends to close off when things get difficult and has a hard time believing she is worthy of love. Blake is loving and patient and able to break down her walls. It is so sweet to watch these “older” women find love. I look forward to Joy’s journey to happily ever after.

This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author. All of the characters seemed realistic…Cass and her family are each going through grief differently. Her friends and Harrison’s friendship and the care he shows help to heal her heart. Which surprises her kids. They aren’t ready to move on yet.Harrison really likes Cass. He understands that she likes him too. He worries he’s not good enough. BUT, he’s a grown-up. He actually has the hard conversations with her and they decide to see where their relationship leads.

Another wonderful read by Elana Johnson!!
I have been blessed to have had the true friendship of several women just like the women of the Supper Club. We too have experienced the highs and lows of life together and apart as two of our four have moved away. This increases the enjoyment I’ve been having getting to know each character and their unique personalities, watching them navigate life and unexpected events, yet maintaining the love and loyalty they have for each other. They comfort one another through heartache, and cheer each other on in relationships and achievements. Elena portrays all of this so very well, as if you too are a part of the Club. So come along this time as Joy tries to make “plans” for the future by creating a Beach Blueprint!! Then, if you haven’t already read them, go back and start at the beginning to read the other three books in the Hilton Head Island series!!

Can I have a do-over?
This series is soo good, it’s beachy, it’s a second chance for this 40-something group, and it’s best friends determined to stay close amid all of life’s challenges. Oliver is such a complex character, never married and running from and building walls against his own demons, most of which are his own perception. Bessie is a sweetheart with a grown daughter, chasing her dreams starting her bakery, and willing to uproot her life too by moving to Hilton Head to be by her friends. They grow close as she helps Oliver to face his demons and take down his walls. He might be 46, but he’s finally found love if he can convince Bessie that he’s man enough for her.Clean. So this is Cass’s story, she loses her beloved husband Wes, this is her story of healing and moving forward. When he stops to check in on one of the properties he manages, he meets Bea, and there is just somethin so refreshing about her, not to mention things going wrong in her rental! These two hit it off, but as always life gets in their way. This book has one of the most unexpected beginnings
This book has one of the most unexpected beginnings, but Lauren needed something drastic to spark changes in her life. And for me, that felt like the theme of Lauren and Blake’s story: change. All the ways it happens, how we handle it, (or don’t handle it,) and the good and bad things that can come from it. I enjoyed this pairing. I particularly liked seeing them building their new family unit around Blake’s son. It both hurt my heart and drove me completely batty to watch Lauren battle the demons in her own mind that told her to leave before she was left. I was so glad to witness the truly adorable ending they were able to achieve, and I can’t wait to see what this has set the stage for next.I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.

This was an inspiring story, you learn Lauren’s story and what made her the way she is. In her Seaside Strategy she comes up with a plan to make her life better. Losing her job the way she did would have demoralized a person but she uses it to better herself. I loved her and Blake’s story. Blake makes some bad choices but redeemed himself each time. Love it..great storyline
This was my first read by the author and I’m glad I stumbled on the book. The characters were wonderful, each so different. The main male character Oliver was well written and I like that he had faults and wasn’t the perfect male. He had some real issues and the main female character, Bessie, had to decide where he was worth being with or not. The story line of mid-age characters dating is always an interesting one and this especially since there were several different couples mentioned at different levels in their relationship. The setting in Hilton Head was great as well. I really liked that the women of the story all moved from Texas to Hilton Head and had get togethers to keep their friendship strong. Very good, clean romance book that I highly recommend.

Cassandra’s story
I really enjoyed Cassandra’s story. It was sad when West dies but her life goes on and she makes the decision to move to Hilton Head Island to be near Bess and Grant. Her children however have other plans and try to stop her. I liked the way Harrison fights for her and doesn’t give up. I would love an outdoor kitchen like Harrison has. I also cannot wait for Lauren’s story. I would recommend this book. I received an arc and the views and opinions are my own.

How can I wrangle an invite to one of their parties?
You want to grab your sunblock, coverup and beach towel and join these these ladies who are a little more seasoned, with grown kids and pain in their past, as they face life and new love head on. Their Supper Club is to die for but it’s their love and support through all that makes you want to pull up a chair. Joy’s previous marriage was worse than loveless and it’s taken a lot out of her, but Scott has caught her eye. The problem is the hunky landscaper lives 1200 miles away on Hilton Head island where many of her Supper Club friends have moved. For her to even think of moving is a giant step and she wants a plan in place. Scott has his own demons to face behind his ready smile and booming laugh. You’ll love joining this group of friends that is more than friends- they’re family.Clean. I received it as an ARC

Bessie and Oliver-two of my favorites
I like that the two of these friends become very interested in each other as more than friends. I love their “do over” attitude when they blow it. All of these have been great stories of friends who are so close that they even move to the same area to stay close. I would love to have friends like that!

Great beach read
The Supper Club ladies are finding love in Hilton Head. One by one they are moving from Texas to NC. Joy meets Scott who has a landscaping business. They are crazy about one another. However, she has school and family back in Texas. Joy also had a very bad first marriage and brings that baggage to the relationship. Are they able to work out all their issues? I received an ARC of this book and am giving an honest review.

Wonderful characters
Joy and Scott are a great couple who complement each other. This series just keeps getting better with each book. This whole series is a group of women in their 40-50’s who have experienced life in different ways but come together to lean on each other and become the best of friends, family. The group is slowly, one by one, moving from Texas to N Carolina and this is the next woman and her story to HEA. Really enjoyed this read and the way the two characters connect. Never disappointed in a clean, sweet read by this author.

As you read this book you have so many SIGH moments
I loved the story of Joy and Scott. It was as if each one kept getting in the way of the plan God had for their lives. They both know they were meant for each other, but they kept putting up walls. If you want to know if the walls got tore down or erected higher, you better read this fabulous book. Wonderful book and wonderfully written.

Life is like this sometimes. You have a plan and then something happens. And your life is never the same. Lovable Charachters
A finding love again story. Cass and Harrison are such likable characters that you keep rooting for them to get their HEA. Wonderful support of friends and some not support of Cass’ family in the beginning. Cass husband dies unexpectedly and she is finding it hard to get on without him (West), til she meets Harrison who I simply adore. Definitely recommend this book and all in the series. Also highly recommend the Hawthorne Harbor series.

Such a good read!
This is such a good read. This time we meet Lauren who thinks that everything in her world is great when all of a sudden BaM it’s not and everything is turned upside down. So what do you do when you need to figure things out? You head to the seaside and your friends for help in sorting everything out. Whilst there she meets Blake who runs a successful business on the island and is so impressed with her that he offers her a job but it isn’t what she wants is it? It’s a wonderful read, it’s sweet, it’s fun and I very much enjoyed it.

Never too old for romance
I really liked this story about older people, their friendships, and loves. Bessie does not even like Oliver at first, but she starts to see a better version of himself. Bossy, but a great business man, they become partners for a festival. Their relationship evolves nicely and they learn a lot about each other. Just the way it should be. The location where this takes place is beautiful and I loved the beach walks.

Wonderful Story
A wonderful addition to this great series. The Supper Club is slowly moving from Texas to Hilton Head Island. It’s now time for Joy to make her decision about a relationship with Scott and if she is going to make this move happen. Joy needs to have a blueprint of the direction her life is going to take before she can commit. Scott is extremely patient and is willing to do whatever it takes to give Joy the time and space she needs. Bessie and Oliver are water and oil at first but I love that Oliver slowly opens up to Bessie. Bessie also opens up to Oliver. I loved that it was not a perfect mesh of their lives or feelings or communicating. They had to pause and talk and apologize and start over. Their love story felt realistic to me. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. It makes me want to visit where the books takes place.

Sometimes the scariest things we have to do are also the most rewarding
Sometimes the scariest things we have to do are also the most rewarding. Now with grown children and a broken marriage behind her, Bea is starting over at a time in her life when she should be enjoying the rewards of all her hard work. I adored the way Bea took on the challenges of this new phase in her life. Things she wanted to do but hadn’t while she was still with her ex? Those go at the top of the list to accomplish first. And I loved that she was willing to step outside of her comfort zone and take little risks with Grant. I’m also a little in love with the supporting cast around this pair. They’re all vibrant characters and I want to read more about each and every one of them.I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.

Can two people deeply set in their ways learn compromise together?
Can two people deeply set in their ways learn compromise together? I feel like that’s the most important lesson I’m going to come away from this book with: learning, especially learning how to get along with other people, never stops no matter what age you get to be. Oliver and Bessie have largely rubbed each other the wrong way from the very first moment they met. I loved watching them get to know each other and lower their defenses. Of course, there were still misunderstandings and stumbles along the way, but I thought the way they each supported the other in their endeavors was very sweet and something to aspire to in any relationship.I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.

Bessie and Oliver
This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author.Oliver is complicated, until you see that’s he’s been hurt and is scared of being hurt again. He’d be perfect for a woman that was more outspoken, but surely not for Bessie…Except that Bessie is stepping up to call him out on his behavior, or replying to his snarky comments with snarky comments of her own… and really enjoying the time she spends with him.The two complement each other so well. They make each other stronger and grow beyond their comfort zones.

A wonderful and refreshing book about friendship and second chances. ❤️ I love this book. Beatrice or “Bea” has six amazing friends who are trying to help her through the finalizing of her divorce. She is notorious for making list so her friends help her check off some items by sending her on a trip to Hilton Head Island for some relaxation. Bea will have an easy time checking off items when she meets the rental manager, Grant. If you want a sweet read for the beach pick up The Love List.

It’s been fun getting to know the coastal beachy town and escape my landlocked residence. Two business owner, one grumpy and the other sunshine. It was a lovely read.

I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Bessie Clifton and her daughter Wynona open a bread store in Hilton Head and she decides to participate in the Heritage Festival. She is paired with Oliver Blackhurst who owns the Mad Mango smoothie shop. She learns a lot from working with Oliver and starts dating him, but his dark moods often cause her distress, but she sees his softer side and her sunshine brings out the best in him. This uplifting book spotlights differences in people and how to understand and get along with others. A great addition to this interesting series.

Can these two overcome their differences and find true love?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the amusing narrative.

What a fun second book in this series. I enjoyed watching all the characters unfold, but especially Harrison and Cass falling in love. Enjoy this beach romance!

A fabulous escape read. What is not to like about Hilton Head! And her circle of friends are a nice bunch of ladies. As they go through the mid life crisis of separate and divorce they are a great support system. I like that Bea picks herself up and makes a list of what she wants to accomplish in her new life. I like her open view of a new relationship. And doesn’t Grant sound great!!Totally enjoyed this book.

Emotional Story
Cass has decided to move to Hilton Head a little over a year after her husband passed away. Harrison is not interested in a relationship after his wife walked out on him. All the Supper Club is in this one with a new member. Loved how her friend’s supported Cass when her kids were not happy with her decisions. Harrison is a swoon worthy hero. Great storyline that is sweet and clean. Loved this book.I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

We can begin again
Another great book by Elana Johnson. She never disappoints. This is a great start to a new series of books. Starting over after the death of a spouse is not always easy but this book defines it perfectly. It can be just as good, just different, than before. The message for me is to go out there and live my best life (I have not lost a spouse but my mom did and her next husband was so good to her).

The Tropical Ticket
The Supper Club Ladies are together again. This is a wonderful, and fun book. Bessie Clayton and her daughter , Winona move to Hilton Head, S.C. to open a bakery and be closer to their friends. She runs into Oliver Blackhurst , who runs the shop next door . They do not hit it off very well. They get thrown together getting ready for a festival and finally hit it off. Love this series, they are all second chances and having backups. I received an arc of this book and I highly recommend reading it.

Fun, quick escape!
I needed something fun and light with characters that drew me into their world and this delivered. Easy to empathize with this collection of supportive women and step into their world. Great read for women who are mothers of grown women and caregivers to their parents.

Good story. Fun to read
I love Bea’s idea of a “Love” list. I am a maker of lists myself but not to her extent. Grant is the perfect man for her and I am so happy she is getting her happily ever after. Grant deserves a woman who makes him happy, also. I wish we had met his daughter in this book but maybe she will show up in another. I always love books by Elana Johnson.

This is my honest review.

Older and wiser
I like this story line and these characters. They are a little bit older and going through many hardships in their lives. Good friends and families make things a little easier.Different people handle grief differently and so you have to give people time to go through the stages of grief. You can come out happy on the other side.I received an ARC of this book and am giving an honest review.

Wonderful book
Elana Johnson does it again with this wonderful addition to the series.Bessie and her daughter have just opened their bakery on the island. For some reason Oliver rubs her the wrong way, but she finds him very attractive. He invites her to a meeting for small local businesses where they are paired together for the upcoming festival.Join the fun as they make their way through grumpy man meets shy uncertain woman.*I received this book as an ARC reader and am leaving my unbiased review.

A wonderful story
This is a wonderful story that teaches us about loss, heartbreak and how to learn how to cope and move on. It’s a lovely read about Cass who has everything planned out, everything except her husbands sudden death. I have to say I did shed a few tears but when Cass made the brave decision to visit her friends many months later she discovers new possibilities, new friendship and possibly new romance. It’s a fantastic, sweet clean read that will leave you with a feel good feeling about love, friendship and life.

Blake and Lauren’s story was awesome! I loved every minute and loved learning about them. I also enjoyed Lauren’s relationship with Tommy and the other ladies in the supper club.

Life after death.
A very poignant story of a middle aged woman, Cass and how she copes with the sudden death of her husband. She takes some time to visit Hilton Head island twenty months later and feels peace and happiness. She also meets a man, Harrison who treats her like a queen. He is such a good compliment to her. She decides to sell the family Texas home much to the consternation of her kids. They don’t realize that she needs to be her own self now, not a mother, daughter or wife. Patience and understanding has to go a long way. Well written and a book you can relate to.I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book

Finding love on Hilton Head,
I love this book for I have been to HH so many times for vacation. This island brings out the best of things. Elana wrote a wonderful story about losing love and finding it again, about a group of ladies living in Texas getting together one a month to have supper and lift each other up. Can’t wait to read the other books.

Fantastic!
This is such a wonderful series; I am loving the Supper Club. I love hearing about all of their lives and friendships. Lauren has never been married and is very focused on her career until something shocking happens to her. She is a woman who liked to strategize everything in her life. Blake owns his own business and has a teenage son. Elana has such a way with character building and making stories so real to life. I loved how Lauren and Blake both grew so that they could fall in love. I really love the relationship between Lauren and Blake’s son. I haven’t read a book by Elana that I didn’t love!

Enjoyable second chances story
I have been sucked into the supper club! I throughly enjoyed Cass’s story and catching up with all the others. The sweet romance for Cass and Harrison is charming. The family bonding and drama is intense The fun and constant care the supper club friends share is inspiring. To have a group that knows you inside and out, stands up for you and supports you, even through difficult times, everyone needs that kind of friendship. A lot takes place in this book but I never felt lost or bored. It held my attention throughout. They deal with some real life events that are hard, but handled really well. Looking forward to Lauren’s story.

Change is good
Lauren is at Hilton Head for a wedding when her boss calls her to come to Texas. When she arrives at the office, it is in turmoil and there are Federal Agents accusing her of embezzling millions. However, after they search her phone, they conclude that she wasn’t involved in this. She goes back to Hilton Head and runs into Blake. They have met before, but now she is interested in him. What will happen to her job prospects and her love prospects? I am enjoying the Supper Club series. I received an ARC of this book and am giving it an honest review.

I’m totally enjoying this series about this group of friends in a supper club. It’s great seeing the friendship and the support they give each as as they go through life and find love. I really enjoyed this book! It is a clean read in both plot and language. The characters are multi-dimensional and engaging.

Love for the 40 somethings
This is about finding love unexpectedly after being thrown over from young marriages. The story is clean and different from the usual run-of-the-mill romance. Bea and Grant never expected to find love so suddenly but yet it happened. This is their story and its a good one.

I can hardly wait for Cass’s story.

do – overs

LOVED it!!!

Love this series!
Elana Johnson is a talented writer, and she excels at writing realistic stories about friendships, family, and love. This is a well-written story about Cass’ upended plans, working through relationships with kids, parents, friends, Harrison, and second chances. Elana Johnson writes honest, real relationships better than anyone. The Paradise Plan has a lot of heart, and just might be my favorite book by Elana so far. This is book 2 in the Hilton Head Island Series, but can be read as a stand-alone.Highly recommend!

A wonderful read
This is such a wonderful read. Joy is feeling lonely and feeling left behind as one by one her friends are leaving to head to Hilton Head Island for love and romance! Joy has a secret and he’s called Scott but Joy needs everything to be perfectly worked out before she can do anything but life is never perfect and nothing goes to plan.It was wonderful following Joy & Scott as their adventure starts out and they try to work things out. It’s a difficult journey for Joy especially after her abusive marriage but the support she gets from her friends is remarkable and so so sweet and it’s a great addition to the series.

We get to go back to Hilton Head Island. I love seeing each of the friends throughout this series. Many of the friends of already moved – will Joy finally give Scott a chance and move too? The ending was super sweet and a great set up for the next to books – or hopefully more.

Great characters!

Loved this story
This is such a fantastic story and I love it and this great group of Supper Club friends. This story is about Bea and Grant, they meet while Bea is on vacation at Hilton Head Island, after her friends encourage her to go when her divorce is finally finalized. I love this story of an older couple with grown kids, aging parents and finding oneself single again, I love the way Elana writes this story, so many real-life happenings, I love the chemistry between Grant and Bea and how they have to work together to make the relationship succeed. I am excited to see what happens with the other members of the Supper Club.
JESSICA J. SANDERSON –
Thought provoking
Cass and Harrison’s story hit me as real. You could feel the pain and grief she and her kids went through while at the same time you could feel her heart opening up again. Harrison was very patient and kind and a very lovable character. Bravo!

I received this as an ARC

Can Cass heal and move on? Can her family accept it?
I am hooked on the Supper Club!! I think you could read this as a stand alone, but WHY?? The first book is also wonderful!! So this is Cass’s story, she loses her beloved husband Wes, this is her story of healing and moving forward. It is AMAZING how she deals with her adult kids and their challenges with her move forward. Enter Harrison, he is FANTASTIC and so different from Cass’s husband, he really is perfect for her!! I love that she is not trying to replace her husband and father of her children, just move forward and to be happy again. I also enjoy the friendships of the supper club, and their relationships. This is well written, clean, and gave me all the feels!!

Wonderful!
I loved reading about Scott and Joy’s story. Scott, though he has a past with his family, is so caring and loves Joy so much. Joy also has a past and struggles to admit her feelings but finally let’s herself fall. Beautiful

Sweet, clean, and crazy.
This is another very enjoyable and moving story in this series. Despite all of Cass and Harrison’s trial their love stands the test.

Love this book and series!
I’ve been waiting for this book since I finished the first book in the series, and it didn’t disappoint. It has all the messy elements of blending families after a death and how tricky that can be. I love all the ladies in the dinner group and can’t wait for more of their stories!

Joy and Scott
I enjoyed reading as the relationship between joy and Scott developed. I enjoyed seeing Joy and Scott grow and become better and more capable of having a relationship. I enjoyed reading how Joy’s sons supported her. I loved catching up with Joy’s supper club also. It’s so fun when characters from books in another series show up in the book I’m reading like Jed and Cherry Forester. Great installment in the Hilton Head Island series.

Loved this story
This is such a great series. The Supper Club is such a great and supportive group of ladies. This story follows Bessie’s path to a second chance love. Bessie and her daughter Wynona own a Bread Bakery. Oliver owns the Mad Mango, when Bessie and Oliver it was not the best but after being forced to work together things change. Oliver comes up with such creative dates that are so fun. The chemistry between them is so great, I loved the interaction between Bessie and Oliver, the characters are all so great and the story is wonderful, I highly recommend this great book.

What an amazing start to a new series!
Great story about starting over after divorce, having good friends by your side, and finding love when you aren’t even looking for it! 5 amazing stars for this one!Bea’s divorce is finally final, and while meeting up with her friends, they find her a place to just take a break and get away. Hilton Head it is, by herself for ten days. She’s got her list of things to experience from her friends, so she sets out to get them done.Grant has been divorced for a few years now, he’s looking forward to his daughter coming to visit for the summer. When he stops to check in on one of the properties he manages, he meets Bea, and there is just somethin so refreshing about her, not to mention things going wrong in her rental! These two hit it off, but as always life gets in their way. Can they make this work? Read along and find out! This is my first book by this author, and I’m so looking forward to reading more about Bea’s friends in this series!

A wonderful clean romance, and a great start to a new series.
The Love List is the first book in the Hilton Head Island series, and the first book from this author that I have read. I found this story of starting over from divorce a sweet and wonderful book to read, and enjoyed following Bea and Grant’s story. I am looking forward to reading more from this author and the next book in this series.

Inspiring
This was an inspiring story, you learn Lauren’s story and what made her the way she is. In her Seaside Strategy she comes up with a plan to make her life better. Losing her job the way she did would have demoralized a person but she uses it to better herself. I loved her and Blake’s story. Blake makes some bad choices but redeemed himself each time. This is a book to read this summer. I still want friends like the supper club. They make you laugh and cry. An inspirational story that I would recommend. Cannot wait for Joy’s story.

Sweet Story, Intelligent Characters, Great Friends
Elana Johnson does it again! A believable plot and delightful characters make The Seaside Strategy a novel to enjoy and savor. As summer draws to a close, I lost myself in the Hilton Head setting and characters who were so like my own friends. Wonderful, Elana, just wonderful. Many thanks.

Good Read/Series
I enjoyed reading this women’s fiction/romance. I look forward to the next book. I would highly recommend it.
BJ Renczkowski –

Bea reevaluates what she wants from life after a divorce.
I liked Bea’s love list. I liked her relationship with Grant. I liked her group of friends and how they support each other. I liked seeing Hilton Head from owner and visitor perspectives. I have read other books from this author and will read more. I did receive an ARC from the author.

Love this Series
I’m so enjoying this series about a group of women in a supper club who become family to each other. I loved Joy and Scott’s story. These two are so good for each other. I always enjoy this authors books and anxiously await the next books in the series.

A must read!
Life is like this sometimes. You have a plan and then something happens. And your life is never the same. Cassandra handles losing her husband as many of us might, relying on close friends and family, looking to grow and make changes. She crafts a new beginning and finds love along the way. Loving this series!

This is a lovely book depicting the development of a remarkable love between two very different people. The enduring friendship among the Supper Club ladies is wonderful.I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.

Perfect beach/pool book!
Lauren and Blake struggle through life and still manage to find each other. Watching Lauren figure out her career and Blake deal with parenting issues made them seem like friends and not just characters in a book. Reading this book is like visiting with friends.

Beautiful story of loss and loving again
Loved story #2 in this series about the women of the Supper Club. Life happens and this story shows how these women support, encourage, and sometimes frustrate each other in life. Cass and Harrison navigate friendships and family and saying goodbye and hello all at the same time. Looking forward to book #3 I this series.

I loved it!

Part of a series
I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Joy Bartlett needs a plan in order to go forward with her life and a possible move to Hilton Head Island with her friends and where she met and is dating Scott Anderson. As their relationship develops it becomes increasingly harder for them to be apart, but she has to think about her job and her sons and grandchildren. Another uplifting book by Elana Johnson featuring friendships, relationships, and trust.

Second Chance for Bea
I really enjoyed this story about Bea and Grant and having a second chance at love a little later in life. Things are never easy with so many friends and families involved, but Bea’s friends are an amazing support system and help her navigate fostering a new relationship several states away. Wonderful chemistry between the leads and terrific supporting cast who I’m guessing we’ll see in later stories make me eager to see what happens in the next story!

Awesome Book
What a totally awesome book. Loved the whole Supper Club, those ladies are great. Bea and Grant are a great couple with lots of chemistry. But, she lives Texas and he lives in South Carolina. Thought it was great when he took her kite flying. This is a sweet romance with lots of heart. Many times it will make you go ahhh. I have to say, I think this is my favorite Elana Johnson book.I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntaril

A Breath of Fresh Air
A wonderful and refreshing book about friendship and second chances. ❤️ I love this book. Beatrice or “Bea” has six amazing friends who are trying to help her through the finalizing of her divorce. She is notorious for making list so her friends help her check off some items by sending her on a trip to Hilton Head Island for some relaxation. Bea will have an easy time checking off items when she meets the rental manager, Grant. If you want a sweet read for the beach pick up The Love List.

Loved It
Great book in a new series. With her divorce final, Bea goes to Hilton Head Island to work on her “love list”. Grant was not on her list and totally unexpected. Bea and Grant are such well written characters that I felt right there with them. Her friends are her support and they are described so well. This second chance romance is a wonderful read, can’t wait for the next one, and highly recommend it.I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.

Love List:
I really enjoyed this start to a new series. I was a bit worried about the main genre being women’s fiction and that it wouldn’t have enough romance for my liking, but I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the vacation island setting and can’t wait for more of this series!
The Paradise Plan:
I’m really enjoying this series. There is plenty of romance and I’m loving the beachy atmosphere. Such great character who are working through things in life. I can’t wait for the next book!
The Seaside Strategy:
I enjoyed this next installment in this beachy romance series. I’m loving how they are all transitioning to this beach town. I liked the parenting aspects put into this book. It was a lovely addition. I’m excited to see more of these friends!
The Beach Blueprint:
This was a good addition in this women’s fiction with romance series. I really do like the dual locations of beachy life and Texan life. I enjoyed the learning these adults do on their own and together and the real world and life problems they face. I’m looking forward to more beachy goodness.
Tropical Ticket:
I’m really enjoying this women’s fiction romance series. The strong core group of friends is good to see. These are all later in age, another chance for love romances. It’s been fun getting to know the coastal beachy town and escape my landlocked residence. Two business owner, one grumpy and the other sunshine. It was a lovely read.
