This series of books was the best I’ve read in awhile.It starts in a men’s prison,with one man,Dallas,getting out on parole ,to go to this ranch that takes men just out of prison,gives them a job,and helps them adjust to society again.This particular man,Dallas had done no crime,actually,just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.After doing thirty long months,he was being released to the woman in charge of the ranch,Jess.Thus our story begins,and it’s a long story,with other men from prison with him,getting custody of his two kids again and numerous other things!Yes,this is a very long three stories,but I promise,you’ll never be disappointed or bored.It’s just that good.Even once,when I wished it would get over,something happened to get me involved again.The hardest part of this book is how long it is,so you can’t read it in one sitting.But the length is totally worth it,so I hope you’ll read it.

I liked learning what it’s like to be in prison. Maybe “liked” isn’t the right word, but being able to empathize with other people’s experiences is good for me.Unlike so many series where the characters are the same in each book, just with different names and different colored hair, these characters are different. Each book is unique.

I loved each of these stories. The characters were well-developed, the storylines engaging, and the dialogue realistic. I loved the redemption and the forever loves each of the ex-cons found by coming to Hope Eternal Ranch. Nate, Ted, and Dallas all have different issues to deal with and the author does a great job of showing how they work through their issues. At times, my heart ached for the characters. Excellent series. I can’t wait to read Slate and then Luke’s stories.

This set of books is well worth reading. When second chances were needed, love came to the rescue. I do enjoy getting books in a series where each book is a complete story and each one has characters that continue into the next book. I feel like I am friends with the characters by the time I finish reading. I recommend this set.
