    Darren is the best

I love the patience Darren shows Farrah in waiting for her to be ready to date him the second time. I love the strength of character that this shows. I really enjoy romances that show the development of real relationships between the characters and not just physical attraction. Liz Isaacson does this very well.I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

    Amazing!

I absolutely love the four Buttars men. I’m not sure which one is most favorite. Perhaps it’s the one I’m reading at the time. I would love to continue to read about the Buttars and their families.

Addictions can stop us from doing what we should

Addicted to work makes one a workaholic. Need to change her ways Reagan finally realized what she was doing. She quit her job and went after her man. Ben had decided he couldn’t take it anymore. A fun story to read and find out who this couple really was.

    Dogs

Layla was a vet and Logan was a dog therapy trainer. The problemwas Logan had no schooling.. Layla found a college that offered a two year course. He had to go immediately to get in. How would they work that out? I love Liz Isaacson books! I loved , this one, too!

Reversal: Male is younger & naive while woman is older & not new to romances.

Very well written, true to life storyline except for the role reversal noted above. Leaves reader disconcerted for a while. Until the characters wrap you up in a great clean-cut romance. Kind of an old fashioned tale but with modern characters normal current behavior. We all stumble around when we first play at romance; have to find our own footing. It’s a pleasure to watch Ben find his.The age difference is pretty wide & still bothers me to some degree. It’s okay when they are both in younger ages but seems too much difference for later life. Of course, love always prevails.

    Loved the characters

I really enjoyed this book. We all know “sweet romance” is euphemism for clean romance, which this book is. However, it makes it difficult to use “sweet” in its more traditional sense, which this book also was.I liked that the relationship between Sam and Bonnie developed and deepened over time. It made it seem more solid than stories where two people meet and fall in love in 2 or 3 days (please understand, I don’t have anything against those type is stories, I read and enjoy them, too – I just think of them as “fluffy” and sometimes I want something more solid).Although this isn’t the first Steeple Ridge book, nor the first Buttars Brothers book, it was the first one I read. I loved the characters and the setting so much that, after finishing, I immediately downloaded the first Steeple Ridge book. I’ll be reading the first Buttars Bros after that.

Back and forth and happily back again!

A story full of real life and love and conflict and happiness! Just when you think you know what’s going on, Darren and Farrah’s story goes a different direction. . . And you wonder how it’s going to turn out. You get so invested in the characters, you never want the story to end, but when it does, you excitedly wait to start the next one in the series, hoping to meet new characters, and run into old ones you’ve met in this and Liz’s other incredible books!

The last of the Butters boys finds love

I hate to see the last of these boys, but Darren falls in love. ???? The path to true love is never easy, and that is true of Darren and Farrah. For more than a decade, Harrah has been struggling with her identity after discovering she was adopted. Finally she goes back home, where she must face her parents and all the things she left behind. Her romance with Darren is strained in so many ways until she can figure out who she is and what she wants in life. The story challenged me in so many ways about what I think of myself and what God thinks about me. It also made me wonder if maybe I am thinking too much about myself and my struggles and not enough about the needs of others.

Logan and Layla are great characters, each with different personalities ,but great together. Layla is a planner and Logan flies by the seat of his pants. Together they compliment each other. “Finding Love at Steeple Ridge” by Liz Issacson

The primary story line is intertwined with all the prayers of faith in believing that God’s response is immediate to each character’s request. (This is a short-tightness of young people in “love”. What was distracting are the shorter stories that are really good background info on the characters, but maybe can be weaved into main story. Great read. Continuing to book #2. Thanks Liz.

    Clean story about finding love

I asked to receive this Audible book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. The author takes two strong but insecure individuals and lets us watch them develop into individuals that can find love. Both have good family connections and values to help guide them. Sarah does an amazing job of portraying the emotions and desires of these characters. She gives us distinctive male and female voices. I find her voice to be very enjoyable to listen to. I highly recommend this Audible book that is suitable for anyone to listen to.

    Sweet and compelling love story

Rae and Ben meet by chance and for Ben it is cataclysmic because he hasn’t ever dated. The attraction is immediate for both of them but she is older than him but he doesn’t know how many years. Is he too young for her? She is recovering from a romantic attachment with someone 15 years her junior and she is not eager to get hurt again by someone immature.

It’s Okay to Fall In Love

Though Bonnie and Sam are attracted to each other, their past, as well as his future plans, make it difficult for them to give in to the idea of falling in love with each other.Bonnie not only grieves for her son, but also, being divorced, is skittish about entering into a lasting relationship. Sam not only carries the burden of keeping his family together, but also has plans which include leaving town. Is the situation hopeless, or can they find a way to be happy together? Read Her Faithful Cowboy: A Buttars Brothers Novel to find out.

As usual, this is another wonderful book in the series of Steeple Ridge. This is a part of a series, but works well as a stand alone. Every time I read one of the books, I think this is the best one yet, but then again, that’s what I though about Kissing Santa at Steeple Ridge I enjoyed the true to life experiences , and how the two of them had to compromise, face their mistakes, and make decisions that would bring them their happy ever after.

    COMING HOME CAN BE COMPLICATED

This is my first Steeple Ridge book and I am so glad that I read it. Darren and Farrah had a very long road to even get back to dealing with their issues, especially Farrah. I admit at some point I wanted to tell her to just make up her mind once and for all. As I read further, I could see why the author was putting this in order like she did (and she did a good job doing so). Darren had to face his issues in that accepting the fact that Farrah was not the same woman that he originally fell in love with.Liz has done a wonderful job on this one as always. Look forward to reading more.

    A truly inspirational story.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and loved it so much, that I purchased a copy. What a lovely story about two people struggling with what they perceived to be insurmountable problems. Learning to truly trust in the Lord can be hard. Even when we pray, we can feel lost and alone. Sam and Bonnie both had difficult issues that made them question the future but after trusting, all those issues unraveled and everything worked out. I just love this series. I was sad to see Sam move away from his brothers who are still at Steeple Ridge. My heart kinda broke a little. I just become so involved with the characters in Ms. Isaacson’s stories. The story just flows and you don’t wan’t to put it down. I hate to see these stories end. It is like saying good-bye to my friends. I highly recommend.

    Sweet Clean Cowboy Romance

I continue to enjoy the stories in this series. This time it’s Logan’s chance, especially since he’s been waiting to date the girl of his dreams for 2 years (when she turned him down)! Success this time, though not without its ups and downs. I especially enjoyed the close relationship Logan and his twin brother have, as well as the other Buttars Brothers who have supported each other since their parents’ deaths. I highly recommend this book.

    An Awesome Book!

I loved reading Finding Love at Steeple Ridge: A Buttars Brother Novel Book 1, all about Ben Buttars a 24 year old cowboy who is the baby of the Buttars Family & Reagan Cantrell a thirty-five year old Recreational Director at the sports complex in town. The owner of the farm Steeple Ridge is Tucker & Missy Jenkins and she told Ben that the Director of Recreation was coming out to the farm to discuss horse back riding lessons for the kids during the summer from the Sports Complex. Reagan came out and met Ben and both took notice of the other in an interesting way. The author wrote a story about a man who never dated before and didn’t have a clue as to how to even ask a girl or lady out! Read the story and see how Ben & Raegan fair together! I loved reading the story, and fell in love with all four Buttars brothers. Can’t wait to read book 2.

    Just like Life

She still grieves the loss of her 4-yr old son (sometimes, usually ok) and a divorce. But after several years, she had dated Sam a few times but then he abruptly left her, then he returns. There is a great deal of life going on and then there is Sam who ‘thinks’ too much. Then her father dies and she begins thinking of her son and has a panic attack. He has the farm he grew up on after his parents die (plane crash) but does what he can to remodel/fix it up. Then there is a flood – he returns to Wyoming and she remains in the east. Things happen. ** A very enjoyable Clean romance – yes there is some sadness but there is also her overcoming that sadness. ** And that is life: happiness, love, sadness, joy – Life.

    Romance is in the air!

This book is the story of Logan and the lady he falls for, Layla. Nothing goes smoothly for the Buttars brothers in the romance department and Logan is no exception. Layla has strong trust issues and does not want to get involved. Luckily for Logan, she can’t seem to resist him. They have misunderstandings, are separated by distance for a time, and finally commit to one another. This is a complex story with a lovely ending.

    #4 In a Delightful Series

‪Darren Buttars is reserved, quiet and in love with Farrah Irvine. The novel revolves around the back and forth of their complex relationship. Farrah has more secrets and hang-ups than most of Isaacson’s previous characters and doesn’t give them up easily. I can understand Darren’s attraction to her, despite her attitude toward relationships. Darren is one of Isaacson’s most persistent and patient characters. Farrah initially resists the changes she needs to make to have a fuller, happier life. The narrative shows that a person of faith can still resist dealing with and addressing past issues. I love reading stand-alone books that are part of a series as secondary characters are familiar and add to the feel of community.‬

But when Sam has to leave early and doesn’t talk about getting married, Bonnie thinks it’s over. This story shows how a lack of communicating your feelings can cause huge issues. Love the Buttars! Darren is the epitome of strong and silent. Farrar is just a mess. Good thing Darren is willing to love her patiently. Sam and Bonnie’s story

I was going with 4 stars but decided that just because there were some “hard” things in this story, doesn’t make it less of a good story. So 5 it is.I’ve been reading a lot from this author and giving honest reviews.Sam and Bonnie both have had a lot to deal with and I’m glad they finally get their HEA. What I don’t like about this series is the author doesn’t give us the weddings. But young cowboys that have really only had each other to rely on for most of their young adult lives. Finding love in some innocent ways. I find it refreshing. And for the person who posted about “how could she forget about her dog overnight” her dad that she loved just died, she was a bit devastated. Also, that was proving a point that Sam lives her and was there to take care of her while she grieved.Besides, it a story. Fiction, she didn’t really forget ????My only caution is to read the whole series 1st book to the end . That way, you get more of the background stories and will enjoy each book more.

    Love those Buttars Brothers!

The first Buttars Brothers book I read was not the first in the series. After I read it, I went back to the beginning and read the first Steeple Ridge book and then this, the first Buttars Brothers book. Now I’m caught up and can’t wait to read Logan’s and Darren’s stories!I don’t know if I’ve ever read a story like this, where the man not only hasn’t been in love before but hasn’t dated before. It made for an interesting premise. I found myself sympathizing with Ben. His life was turned upside down when he was 15 and he had a very unconventional upbringing from there on out. Falling in love with the first woman he dated must have been terrifying. As usual, Liz Isaacson wrote a wonderful story with characters you’d like to know in real life.

Another winner for Ms. Isaacson. I loved the story. Logan is kind of shy and unsure of himself. Kayla is a well educated and established veterinarian. Romance wins again

Ben, an innocent young man, shy, never dates, clueless about women, yet when he meets Reagan, he begins to want to learn how to romance a particular woman, Reagan. It’s an older woman, younger man story. Age is just a number. Rae is addicted to her job but can’t see it. Of course Ben and Reagan have their troubles. I love how they connected with each other, and I love Ben’s very close supportive brothers. Anything Liz Isaacson writes is ten stars. If you haven’t read any of her books, you are missing out. Love this series!

The books in this series just keep getting better. A lot is probably that I’m getting really familiar with the characters since I’ve backed up and started reading them in order. But even if you read them alone or out of order, they are just fantastic. In Learning Faith at Steeple Ridge, Sam Buttars, the oldest of the four brothers, is getting all twisted up in his attraction to Bonnie Sherman, a lovely lady that he dated a few times before backing away. They are great together, but can’t seem to commit. Sam is planning to move back to his home in Wyoming, and Bonnie doesn’t see how she could leave her home. Of course, lots of other things happen, but I want you to find out for yourself. It is so much more fun that way!

This book isn’t just sweet or clean. It is about real life, with all of its emotions. For me there was no feeling of a set plot where you know all the answers before you read it. It was a pleasant surprise. I never set it down from start to finish. I felt all of the emotions the characters did. The book is well written, not only the story line, but grammatically! THANK YOU!! Logan, the first of the twins to fall in love and Layla, the Vet who has been demoralised by a previous boyfriend. Logan feels inadequate due to his lack of education, a feeling many of us can relate to when in the company of people with degrees. Layla is afraid Logan won’t like the person she is inside. Falling for Santa

A beautiful story about Logan Buttars, a cowboy at Stepple Ridge finally getting a second chance to date Layla Guyman the local vet in Island Park. He had liked her for two years but she never would go out with him until he seen her at his brother Ben’s wedding. They started dating and his thoughts went to him wanting to get a degree in dog training but that would take him to California for two years. He made mistakes in their relationship and her “dating rules” almost ended it but their love for each other prevailed. Such a sweet story that centered around the winter holidays, a sleigh ride out on a snowy day and a Santa suit.

I was disappointed at first to read that Rae was 15 or more years older than Ben. But the author made her sound more like a 20 year old. I’m not sure why she created such a large age difference as it was only discussed once. Otherwise I loved everything in the story.

There is so much good in Ben!

There is so much “good” in this book. Losing parents at a young age can overwhelm any youth. When it happens to a young teenage boy, it is so difficult to know where to turn. Thank God, Ben has his brothers and especially his oldest sibling, Sam. I loved the talks Ben and Sam had about responsibility, dating and taking it slow, plus, the common sense he instilled in Ben. I thank the author for writing about a young man that is naïve to the worldly things and a friend who respects someone who is clean of heart and mind. In today’s world, this is rare and I found it refreshing to read this book.

A young man who wasn’t a “player” was a welcome change of pace in the romance genre. Ben’s growth and development as he fell in love was captivating and brought a smile to my face. His sadness and grief was real and reading his thoughts about his loss brought tears. I think perhaps we sometimes forget about a young man’s challenges as he struggles with learning about women and dating. Liz Isaacson captured those struggles in a very well written book. Rae was the “older woman” and while she had dating experience, she had never met anyone quite like Ben. Her development and struggles were also very well written and she became more than a character in a book. I received an ARC of this book and am happy to recommend it as a clean and very well written romance.

    What a sweet read

Loved the characters and the family support. I liked that they each had issues to overcome and were wanting to do what it took to be available to make a go of a relationship.

    Sweet clean love story!

Darren had the patience of a saint. Farrah was so mixed up,not knowing who she was. Once she got better, she became more lovable and loving.

    Great Story

Awesome story about Ben and Rae falling in love. Despite the 10 year age gap, they have many things in common. Interesting characters with totally different issues to overcome.I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.

    Wonderful, Loving!

I absolutely love Liz Isaacson and all of her many different novels that she has written! She is wonderful and creates so many different stories that I have all fallen in love with, and I am so excited to read this new series about Steeple Ridge.”Coming Home to Steeple Ridge (Steeple Ridge Romance #5)” is the story of the quiet, keep-to-himself brother of all of the Buttars’ brothers. Darren has an old soul, as some might say, he was not as out going as his twin Logan- but as all of his brothers have done before him, he is ready to settle down. Is there someone in Steeple Ridge for him? Will he ever have a happily ever after for himself? Please, if you have never picked up a novel by Ms. Isaacson, I would like to encourage you to do so. I promise you that you will not regret it!

    Endings

I didn’t like the ending of this one. I felt like it needed one more chapter with the wedding of the century. I would like to see God used in the place of a higher power. God is the one one that is higher than all else. He should get that Glory

    Start by liking yourself.

Darren felt like everyone had abandoned him, and Farrah felt unloved by everyone. They had broke up over a silly reason and struggled to make things right. With prayers and working through their individual problems they may find a way back to each other.

    Sweet love

Although this isn’t the first Steeple Ridge book, it was the first one I read. I loved the characters and the setting so much that, after finishing, I immediately downloaded the first Steeple Ridge book. I’ll be reading all of the brothers stories. This was such a good clean story, of love and life. Sam and Bonnie made a great couple. I was sad to see Sam move away from his brothers who are still at Steeple Ridge. My heart kinda broke for all of them, yet I understand Sam need to go home. Sam at a young age at the weight of the world on his shoulders. Bonnie is learning how to live a new life with so much hurt in her heart. This book has all the feels in life.

Life isn’t easy but love sees them through

I shouldn’t have started reading- I didn’t have time but couldn’t help myself! Since I’m in school I only read books I know will contain great writing and not waste my time, so anything by Liz is in for sure. I loved this book! I swear Liz just gets better and better at writing these sweet, spiritual cowboy romances. In this story, I especially liked their struggles. Life isn’t perfect, people have baggage and emotions; the book captures this well. Yet, also the way they handle their problems gives readers hope. Excellent writing! I loved the pictures it painted visually with words- I felt I could see the scenes, the people, and all.

Darren must be VERY patient Cowboy

But I trust that Farrah was worth the wait. Ever the gentleman he waits, frustrated, but buys the organic farm she works on. And then the fifth wedding happens for the Steeple Ridge Buttars clan

    Great read

What a sweet read. Love and patience are not just what it takes to build a relationship but also to keep one. This book had tears running down my cheeks a few times.I happened to read this book first which is actually the last in the 4 book series. It can stand alone, but to go back and read the others now, I would know how they ended.

    Clean wholesome romance

Liz Isaacson is a wonderful story teller. She wraps you up in the dialog as she has each person share bits of themselves until the full story is told.

    age gap

I’m always a bit wary of age gap romances but this one went well. I liked the bit about Coral Canyon. I’ve already read those series but it was cool to see it from the other end. I enjoyed these characters and getting to know these brothers. I’m excited to read each of their stories.

    Not the Typical romance

This is NOT a criticism of the author, whose work I usually love. I’m sure I have read nearly every thing she has written. But, being what I consider myself as a strong and independent woman, I literally despised the so called heroine of this book, Farrah. I have never met in literature or real life a more annoying, clinging creature.I apologize to the author but they ask for honest reviews. There is not that much patience in the world. The premise that discovering you were adopted by loving people and raised with love would just Destroy your world is silly.

    Her Patient Cowboy

The title was spot on as this was a very intense storyline with Darren and Farrah. How your storytelling encompasses difficult personal battles and how with God; love; patience and understanding that a person could heal their soul. Farrah finally realized that she could love herself as others did and that finally brought peace for her and Darren as their lives could move forward with happiness and love. This was an exceptional storyline with a wonderful powerful ending.
