She was worried about her business
She owns a Bed and breakfast on a Hawaiian island and they built a large hotel just down from it and she worried that it would steal some of her business. She went to the hotel to see how luxurious it was and how her B&B compared, she ordered room service to find out how long it took to get food and then took a shower. Her food arrived almost the same time as her shower ended and she was not fully dressed when the food delivery was wheeled into her room without notifying her of their entrance. The delivery person was actually the hotel owner under cover and he wanted to make things right and he went back to her room after changing clothes and that encounter began his journey of learning all he could about her and their journey of business and dating.

Another visit to Hawaii and the two groups of people who may or may not have anything in common. Interest is high between these two until some miscommunication and hurt feelings. However, things get better. Some surprises on both sides (thus the brawny part of the title) and overcoming past history. Clean romance, loving the pineapple, and a great hint at the next book in the series. Great read!

5 Stars for this love story. Honesty and forgiveness, not from each other but from places one wouldn’t expect.This story had more content, a twist here a turn there. Just a more intriguing story then some of the others. Sometimes people lie, even the people we love. life changing things happen. We end up somewhere we might not have and realize that maybe this is where we were meant to be all along. 2nd and 3rd chances, I loved it, even though I was reading an ARC, meaning I read it in the pre proofed form. Reading past some typos and such.I think you will love it too.

This set is/are the first book(s) that I have read by Elana Johnson and her crew AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!A sweat set about a bunch of men and women, some of which happen to have a lot of money, but not always the perfect life. Set in Getaway Bay, Hawaii, with Hawaii being a place that I so want to visit and maybe live one day, you find many different people and circumstances that can bring two people together.I LOVE the characters and how real they are. I feel like they are my best friends now that I have completed the set. I just had to go and get the next novels in series. Some I have read and some of which are on my wish list to purchase and read later. Each one being just as entertaining and good as the last.You will find yourself getting absorbed right into the stories and cheering on each of these couples.I LOVE how this is a CLEAN series! In many ways, it makes them actually more enjoyable to read!Keep up the good work and keep these stories coming!!

The thing I liked about this book is the unusual lifestyle of the bashful hero. A man with tons of money living in a tiny cottage on the beach who spends most of his time surfing, playing with his dog, and relaxing in his hammock, is not your usual rich guy. She is a beach yoga instructor that has been admiring him from afar for months. A one time “no strings attached” formal date leads to a fake engagement and not so fake feelings for each other. Really a fun read.

I enjoyed this tale of two business leaders who were open and honest about their lives with each other. Many love stories are built around misconceptions and missing information. I want to scream at those characters, “tell the truth”! I enjoyed the twists and turns in their relationship, but they were always upfront with each other about who they are and what has happened in their lives. I’m looking forward to book two!

Lexie’s story caught me by surprise but didn’t disappoint. I don’t know which I love more – the romance, the women’s friendships or the men’s bonds. Each story can be read as a standalone but the series with the whole picture is truly incredible.

Book 3 of the Beach romances, so far my favorite. Books one and two I found myself leaning more for the Female characters Stacy and Esther. This book, Tyler and Tawny both pulled at my heartstrings. Sure, the author might have adding more to the story here or their. Like why Shirley, Tyler’s Mom, was such a $&@“; from the get go. But who cares what she thinks anyway ????I suppose we all have one of those in our lives.Once again the worst part of these stories are they end. I’m still holding out for an epilogue that ties up all the stories.

I just finished devouring this book as well as the previous ones in the series, and I can’t wait to read the next one. I want to go live in getaway bay. I want to enjoy the beach, hang out with millionaires, and get to know ordinary people who work hard, who have things in their past they’re trying to overcome, and who find true love. I heartily recommend this collection of books. I should have written a review of each one but I didn’t want to stop reading long enough!

I just love this series of books. The characters are likable and fun. It’s great to have books that are clean and yet so well written. Not always the case. The only problem with this book is the location isn’t really a place I can visit. I guess I’ll have to do it in the next book.

Great story line with drama and danger as well as romance.
Lexie had had a lot of challenges in her life but one of the things that brought her the most sorrow was that her dad had been an alcoholic and she promised herself that she would never drink or date someone who was an alcoholic. Then Jason came back. She didn’t know what to do. Add in a businessman (think mobster) who wants to punish her and is refusing to abide by the restraining order. When it all ends, the bad guys are dealt with and she can get on with her life. A book about the important things in life.

I liked these stories, I even teared up when I read Zach’s graduation speech in the last book. My problem was in the editing, there were typos, wrong words and names used at times. I found that to be distracting, but the books had good story lines and, since the characters interact in the different books, they’re well developed.

An enjoyable reading experience.
As my first experience with an Elana Johnson novel, I was well pleased. I found the story both interesting and entertaining. I prefer squeaky clean romance where the protagonists strictly adhere to the Christian standard of morality; however, in this instance, that standard is only partially met. Only the hero, Fisher, meets this standard. The heroin, Stacy, in a prior relationship is described as living with her boyfriend. Additionally, during an episode with Fisher, she begins unbuttoning his shirt with the intent of engaging in sexual relations prior to marriage. Fisher stops the process indicating that he will not participate outside a marriage covenant. So, I would describe this offering as clean, but not squeaky clean.Prior to meeting each other, both Stacy and Fisher have been disappointed in their prior relationships. However, Stacy is a bit more scarred by those experiences. Oddly enough, I had expected the fact that Fisher is a billionaire owner of a huge highly successful vacation hotel to be a major stumbling block for a relationship with the owner of a small bed and breakfast establishment. However, the major stumbling block actually was each of their past relationships. I recommend this well-written and engaging work to all my romance reading friends.

Ok, not something I normally read, I see the word millionaire and move on. But I went with my gut and really enjoyed every single chapter. I really fell in love with the B&B and wish it was a real place to stay. Loved the two main characters and felt apart of the story. Just might have to read the rest of the series at some point.

Owen Church is the general manager at Sweet Breeze. Gina Jackson has been hired to redo the closets in some of the long term suites. Gina has a hard time trusting people and Owen asks a lot of questions. Will Gina ever let Owen in or will he give up and forget about a relationship with her. I love this series and getting to catch up with the other couples. If you’re looking for a sweet romance, then these are definitely the books for you. I can’t wait for the next two books to release in August.

The Billionaire’s Boyfriend by Elana Johnson is once again a great read. I have enjoyed all the books in this series and of course this was no exception. Can I say they just keep getting better and better. This is a clean story about Gina who struggled being a part of a family since she didn’t have any being brought up in the Foster Care system. She was a closet organizer/designer and moved to Hawaii after her partner betrayed her by leaving and taking half the profits. Owen, from the other stories has always impressed me. He is a raising two sons by himself since his wife left years ago after cheating on him. Both sons are so sweet and respectful. Gina and Owen had feelings for the other so enjoyed seeing them get to their HEA.

Great Summer Read!
This book is an absolutely perfect summer holiday read. Maisey has never had good luck in the romance department. She is only in Getaway Bay because her fiancee broke off their engagement and she couldn’t stand to continue to work in the same building as he was.The book is well-written. She develops the characters carefully, paying atttention so they remain human, someone you would like to have as a friend. The author even takes the time to give the adorable sounding dog a personality. I look forward to reading more of her work.

Set on a beautiful beach in Hawaii. Local woman who owns a historic Bed and Breakfast has resentment toward the new high-rise resort at other end of the bay. Handsome owner of high-rise is a huge surprise and so is the big storm headed toward the bay. Excitement,friendship, scenery and romance- well worth the reading

Sweet love story that makes me want to read more
Gina has a bit of a crush on her co-worker, Owen, but feels like he is out of her league. Owen is drawn to beautiful Gina but doesn’t think she will give him a chance. What will happen when they are forced to spend most of their working hours together and Owen comes to her rescue when Gina gets injured on the job? This sweet, dreamy story kept me glued to the pages all the way to the end!

Enjoyed being back in Getaway Bay again Jason and Lexie story was sweet. She didn’t want to have anything to do with him. But somebody was after her. So he became her protector. They fell back in love. They had some ups and downs. But that was all remedy. They had a great group of friends who supported them. Maybe I will get back to Getaway Bay soon.

This sweet story has so much fun with the characters. Tyler and Tawny have been attracted to one another for a long time, but neither would make a move. When Tyler needs a date for a gala it starts a series of events that leads to fear, confusion, denial, and so many other emotions! I won’t go into detail, but there is some mighty fine kissing going on! I’m so glad these are available on KU!

I really liked this book and series. First I enjoyed it being about older people like myself. We can’t all be 20. I like the tone of the book, not sure how to describe it. Katie moved to Hawaii to get away from her second husband, who went to jail, and start a new life with her daughter Heather. She had started and ran a successful cleaning business. She decided to use a single’s app. When she agreed to a date, it ended up being her first ex-husband. They still liked one another and built a relationship. She finds out he created the dating app and many others and is a successful billionaire. Heather likes him as well. One of the issues they had previously was him putting work before her. He still has problems with that and their relationship has issues. Does he convince Katie to give him a third chance?

Stacey and Fisher – complete opposites. One owns a Bed and Breakfast with five guest rooms and the other has a mega hotel with 28 floors and seven pools! Stacey decides to stay overnight at the mega hotel just to see what her competition is. She has just stepped out of the shower when her room service arrives. All she hears is the jingle of keys and the cart being pushed through the door, no announcement of “room service”! Thankfully they stop when she calls out she isn’t dressed and pushes the cart the rest of the way in and backs out of the room quickly! She hurriedly gets dressed and is looking at the food when there is a knock at the door. The room service guy! He asks her if everything is ok and will not accept a tip, then hurries down the hall. He gets back down to the kitchen and asks his “boss” if it normal not to knock before delivering room service and when his “boss” finds out that is what he did, he is promptly fired and escorted from the premises! Only guess who the room service guy is? Yep the owner of the hotel, Fisher DuPont! So since he is undercover he willing leaves, takes his beater car and goes to a gas station and changes clothes, takes his beater car back to the rental agency, picks up his car, goes back to the hotel and promptly goes to Stacey’s room to apologize for the hotel and offers her a free night of lodging. All the while thinking he wants to know her better. Stacey accepts and thus begins a need to get to know Mr. Davenport better. The only problem is his last name isn’t Davenport and he wants to get to know her better and “bribes” her into lunch before he will tell her his correct last name. Want to find out how that goes? I love Elana’s books. This is a clean, sweet, charming romance. The third in the series and has characters from the previous books.In this one Tawney is a Yoga instructor, and Tyler is a billionaire who is in hiding. Circumstances arise that cause them to misunderstand each other and cause them to hide how they each feel.

I really enjoyed this book! It held my interest from the first page and I read it in one sitting. You’ll really like the way Elana wove several people’s lives and locations into one story by showing how we respond to our friends and other ppl in our lives. I liked the theme of how the characters worked through past experiences and arrived at being better ppl–more ready to explore new situations and relationships. Good job!

The issues Gina and Owen had to deal with from their past would be difficult to overcome for anyone! The Billionaire’s Bodyguard by Elana Johnson was another fantastic read in the Billionaire Beach Club series. I have enjoyed each and every one of them and this was no exception. This story was about Lexie, who’s father was an alcoholic so she swore she would never date anyone who drank. She met Jason Burnes when he was a bartender and as he didn’t drink, she started dating him in secret. When things fell apart in New York seven years ago, she moved to Hawaii. This is where she saw Jason again. From there the story unfolds and you learn what really happened and when Lexie find’s out a secret from Jason’s past, can she get past it and follow her heart. A great read.

This story really made you think about children in foster care who learn to rely only on themselves so they don’t get hurt if they have to go to another home such as Gina. It also brings to light how infidelity can hurt a person deeply, as Owen had to live it and raise his sons by himself. So the relationship between Gina and Owen had to build on trust and patience, lots of patience and time to open up to each other, Gina more so than Owen.
