Description
Sage Grady is a master of transformation. She’s a seasoned hairstylist who’s perfected the art of change, one cut and color at a time. Yet, her own life has started to feel somewhat monotonous, almost like she’s stuck in someone else’s style–and she needs to shake things up.
It’s not a mid-life crisis.
It’s a new way of thinking, of living.
With her sister and her Supper Club friends at her side, Sage decides to return to her roots: Texas. No, she’s not moving back there. But she wants the vibrancy and adventure each new day can bring that she had when owned a hobby farm in the Coastal Bend.
Sage just needs to find the right patch of land on Hilton Head Island to build her new waterfront way of life.
So she needs Tyler Parker, the man she’s had exactly one date with, months ago. Ty’s a real estate mogul who knows the value of every inch of Hilton Head Island, where every for-sale piece of property is, and exactly how to make Sage’s dreams come true.
Her real estate dreams.
He’s made a fortune flipping properties and developing luxury resorts. Yet beneath his polished exterior is a man who’s been burned by love, and he’s built walls higher than any of his skyscrapers.
As Sage snips, styles, and sashays her way into Ty’s heart, she discovers that her way of life isn’t the only transformation happening.
Can Sage and Ty navigate their contrasting worlds to create a happily-ever-after? Will they find that the path to true love doesn’t always follow the path most trod, but might just be discovered through…the waterfront way?

I absolutely loved Sage and Ty’s story. I’d been waiting for her story and it didn’t disappoint. She and Ty are perfect for each other. I have totally enjoyed these supper club books and hope this isn’t the last one. It’s great to read about a group of women that stand together so strongly. A captivating read that I didn’t want to end.

This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from author.
As strong and self-sufficient as she is, Sage is still so very insecure. She’s not sure she’s worth loving.
Ty is in a similar situation. He loves her, but isn’t sure she feels the same for him.
Both decide to stop living with their past hurts. Both scared of different things, because of different things. They actually have the hard conversations.
Karen Basinger –
Sage had a long way to go to realize what love really was after never being loved by her first husband, but Ty was patient enough to help her realize what love truly is! These characters as well as the supporting characters were well developed and made you want to cheer for them or commiserate with them throuout the book. Ms Johnson surly knows how to bring it all together. My only complaint is that it seems to end too soon!!
Elaine –
This was a perfect finale to the supper club ladies finding their happily ever after Sage has come from a marriage where her husband never really loved her. As a result she is hesitant to believe that she is loveable. Six months after a mediocre first date, she and Ty start seeing each other and the sparks are still there. With love and a lot of patience, Sage and Ty find healing the love they are both looking for. A beautiful later in life love story.
Ann Ferri –
What a beautiful love story! Sage and Ty’s story is a sweet romance full of emotions. This book is absolutely perfect. Loved it!
I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Loved how this wrapped up the series!!! Sage and Ty had a okay first date but 6 months later and their next date was amazing. Loved seeing these two become friends and fall in love. He was so sweet and patient with Sage. Can she move on from her ex and the feelings he caused her to still have? Like the advise her sister gave her. Some surprises for the ladies and their men.

It’s that this series is finishing up, it’s been so refreshing and inspiring. It makes you want to be in a Supper Clud with friends who know you so well.
You will enjoy this series especially this book as it brings it all together.

Last but certainly not least! Sage finds her waterfront way to her happily ever after in this final installment to Elana Johnson’s popular Hilton Head Island Series. Along with all the Supper Club Ladies we’ve come to know and love, it’s Sage’s turn to leave her bid her Sweet Water Falls, Texas, past behind and embrace her Coastal Carolina future. And, Ty is just the right man to bring her all the love and romance she never knew she was missing. Elana Johnson has created such a wonderful community of friends that will make you want to join them for supper as they continue to do life together. A fantastic ending to a heart-warming series. Hopefully, these ladies and their guys will show up as guests in one of Johnson’s future series! I received this book as and ARC reader and am honored to leave my voluntary, honest review.
Nancy Weaver –
Sage and Tyler, the last book of the series is definitely a page turner, could hardly put it down.
I loved reading about all of “the supper club”. I sorry the series is ending but looking forward to what comes next!

I loved the inner turmoil that Sage was fighting, trying to figure out who she really was. After 26+ years of being in a loveless marriage was extreamly difficult for her, wondering if she was loveable or not and when Ty showed her what love was about, then proving by action was very difficult for Sage to comprehend. I also love that Ty never gave up when she had difficult things to work through also realizing from her own sons action that dating didn’t have to happen fast. Excellent book
Mindy Clayton –
Sage finally gets her HEA! The last of the dinner club ladies to have her second chance. She has never felt loved even after being married for years and she really wants a fairytale love. Ty has never been married, but has proposed a couple of times. They both are hesitant, but communicate and work on their relationship. A great way to end the series. I have loved getting to know all the ladies and their husbands.
Charnet Koch –
After many years in a loveless marriage, Sage tries to figure out what real love feels like. I anxiously waited to read Sage’s story and was not disappointed. It took a slow growing romance between Sage and Ty. Excellent!!! I highly recommend.

Loved it. Lovely wrap up of all 6 friends finding love and partnership.
Michal –
Ooooh, this was a great beach, romance about Sage and Ty falling in love as they navigate retrying a relationship together.
Teresa Pearson –
Entertaining beach romance filled with kisses and catching up with friends. A little heart wrenching, and a lot heartwarming. Excellent read.
Marilyn Elizabeth Everhart –
I was thinking about the differences between the beach reads and the cowboy romances. These focus on women who are a bit older where the cowboy characters are usually younger, wealthy, successful, and are from large families. The women are not related, for the most part. They are not wealthy although they tend to marry into money. Most have regular jobs. They all relocated from Texas to pursue new romances and futures. Great series.

From the first book in the series, The Love List, I have have loved getting to know these precious friends! Though I am sad to know this is the last book in the series, I loved this story for Sage and Ty.
Sage has had a front row seat to the rest of the group finding someone and falling in love, but her past has convinced her that it probably won’t happen for her. This is a captivating story of 2 people working through their baggage and coming together for a HEA. Love these Supper Club friends (and all their men too)!!!

This is a charming read with great characters. The story has friendship and romance, it keeps you entertained till the end. I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have read just about every book this author has published and her books keep getting better and better. In this story about Ty and Sage’s love story I actually felt like I was there in the story with them and the Supper Club gang. It was so touching and real. Elana Johnson has a way of bringing reality to her character and I am going to miss being among all the ladies and gents from the Supper Club and staying updated on their lives. No matter what name this author uses she brings family to life and brings each one to the forefront. You cannot go wrong reading her books.

I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Sage Grady is a hair dresser in Hilton Head dating real estate agent Ty Parker. She’s afraid to make another mistake and to commit due to her past marriage failure. He’s never been married, but would like to be. She’s looking for all that was lacking in her life previously. They have to learn to work together so they both have the relationship they desire. A great final book in this series by Elana Johnson. As they work through their differences and desires, they grow and it makes for a very uplifting story. The book also updates the activities of the other ladies in the Super Club. I highly recommend reading it.

The end of an era. We’ve been with this group of ladies looking for a second chance at life and love in this beachy locale for many books now. It’s sad to see this Women’s Fiction series come to an end as we’ve met so many incredible characters as they moved through new stages of life. I enjoyed the motherly character of Sage and how this book was about stepping out of the normal and having adventures and reinventing yourself. Becoming who you want to be. It’s something I’ve been working towards as a mother, a wife, and a Christian lately. I want to do better for God, for my husband, and for my kids. Maybe not in the same ways as have been presented here, but the same idea. It was a nice book to curl up with.
I received an ARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Kathy –
This book was amazing! It Sage was able to find her happiness.

This is the book that I have been both dreading AND looking forward to…. The Waterfront Way: Sage and Tyler’s story, Hilton Head Island book 6.
Sage is the last one of the six woman of Supper Club to have her story told which is why I have dreaded this book. I have enjoyed the friendships of these women, felt their pain as well as their joy, laughed and been close to tears over the events and happenings in their lives.
We all need someone to cheer us on, shore us up during difficult times, and be there to celebrate our successes. That’s how it is with this group on Hilton Head Island.
Elena does a wonderful job at storytelling. Her characters are all unique and she grows them throughout each story. I enjoy all of her stories but this series spoke to me on such a personal level because of my age, family and friends, and life experiences. Thank you, Elena! I hope you return us to Hilton Head Island again.

Although I KNEW the outcome of Ty and Sage’s relationship, I felt as on edge as Ty did. I really wondered if she would be able to get past feeling so unloved from her ex.
I liked the honesty portrayed in the relationships with the Supper Club women. They loved and supported one another, but there were still moments when personalities clashed and insecurities reared their ugly heads.
Ty and Sage definitely had that “slow burn” romance going on. On their path to love, they encountered some patches rough terrain that eventually smoothed out for Ty and Sage. I think that is what made the scene with his parents that much more satisfying.
I know Sage was the last of the Supper Club women to get her HEA. I wish that Thelma had her own book. Her back story was very intriguing.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Victoria Patton –
Sage is bored with her life and is ready to go on some grand adventures. The only problem is that she needs someone to share them with. Handsome and charming Tyler Parker has had incredible success in his real estate business but feels like a failure in love. His last romance ended with a flop and now he is more cautious with his heart as he pursues a relationship with beautiful Sage Grady. He wants more than someone to be a plus one; he is seeking someone to marry and fully share his life with. I loved watching both characters as they struggled to grow both individually and together. Tyler was a catch and I was so worried that Sage was going to miss out. This book is the finale of a wonderful series that I have thoroughly enjoyed and hate to see end. It is possible to read and enjoy this book even if you haven’t read the others but I highly recommend you start at the beginning for maximum pleasure. If you like books that have characters overcoming real life problems with the love and support of genuine friends and that have swoon-worthy but clean romances (kissing scenes were amazing) between characters who have issues to work through on their way to true love, then this book (and this series) is for you. Highly recommend! I received an ARC from the author and this voluntary review contains my honest opinions.
Sasha –
The last Supper Club book was worth the wait! Sage and Ty have a bit of a rocky romance because Sage can’t get out of her own way (due to past experiences). I was so worried for poor Ty! But isn’t real life like that? The Supper Club ladies seem like they are good friends. I’m sorry to see this series end.
LeAnn –
What I went into this series I was hesitant to read about middle aged romance, but I have been pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the series quite a bit. The stories follow a group of women that have formed a Supper club group getting together once a month and building strong, bonded friendships. Even to the extent of moving halfway across the country. The Waterfront Way is the last book of the series. It revolves around Sage, who was in a loveless marriage for many years until finally, divorce was her best option. Not thinking she would ever marry again. She moved herself to Hilton head Island to be with all of her friends. When she met Ty, she began to wonder if she could trust another man. Ty has never been married, but has come close a couple of times when he met Sage he began to wonder if this was the right woman for him.
I can’t really put my finger on it, but this was not my favorite story out of all of the series. It was oK but I didn’t really feel a connection with Sage or Ty. Their relationship was a little more childish and bland. But I did enjoy catching up with the other ladies lives. I definitely would suggest reading all of the books they’re entertaining and sweet, swoony romances.
Lucia V –
What an amazing book to finish off this series. Ty and Sage have a wonderful story that is fraught with challenges, angst, and self-doubt. Sage feels the need to rediscover who she truly is; she wants to fly especially after her last marriage. They make a great couple along with all the other Supper Club couples. I love the amazing relationships that the ladies have and how their new loves fit right into the group.
I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
Betty –
I had an Arc book and this is my voluntary review. This is the first book I’ve read in this series, and I’m definitely getting the rest of the books. I enjoyed reading how Sage and Ty’s friendship develops into love. Also how all the women of The Supper Club support each other. I’m glad I found this series and can’t wait to get the rest of the books.
Wren Woodland –
Great finale to the series There was no big drama moment here, as both Sage and Ty make their way together but Sage is very gun shy after living in a marriage for 26 years that was very Ho-hum and where she felt like she put all energy into the relationship and she certainly cherishes her new independence. Ty might be the person to go to on Hilton Head for real estate, but in relationships he’s been less than successful-as in he’s already bought and returned two engagement rings that didn’t work out. She wants excitement and adventure in a relationship , which Ty is happy to give her, but he’s also not willing to be a pushover or let things go stale. What a successful conclusion for the ladies of the Supper Club, as they’ve all found their happily ever after, even though they are all 40-50 ish and had some hard life lessons to get there. Each of the men , also had baggage, but are determined to show these ladies their forever love. Yes there is the saga element that Elana Johnson does so well , as we keep up with what’s happening in each of their stories. As this one progresses.
Clean. I received this as an ARC and these are my honest thoughts.
Shelley McAlister –
This is the first book of this series that I have read, and now I will have to go back and read the stories of all the other ladies of the Supper Club! Sage is the type of woman that I think many women are in a similar situation (a previous loveless marriage); cautious, hesitant, and not ready to commit. Ty wins her over with his patience and yet, his belief that his happily ever after is within reach. This story felt like I was reading about one of my friends and I could hardly wait to get to the end to make sure Sage and Ty ended happily, all the while counting on the fact that it would. A well-written story about a middle-aged couple. Elana Johnson never disappoints. I received this as an ARC and these are my opinions.

I have enjoyed this series immensely! I personally wish i could be a part of such a messy loving friendship group. Sage and Ty perfect for each other – once they figured out communication styles ????. Isn’t that typically the key in our relationships ????
Sage you can come give me a new do any day ????
Thanks for sharing your gifted talented writing world with me

I got this as an ARC, but the opinions are my own. A sweet story of friendship and a little romance, as well as the support a good group of friends can give. Halfway thorugh the book I couldn’t help thinking “Man! I wish I had a great group of friends like that!!!”
It ended kind of fast but told a great story of uncertainty, friendship and trust. Can’t wait to read the next one!

Elana Johnson never disappoints. I really enjoyed Sage and Ty’s romance. After their first date and never hearing from him again Sage meets Ty again at a supper club meal with her friends. She finally agrees to meet him and she decides that being friends is what they should be. It was fun to read how they were going to get together. I really liked their story. I received an arc and the views and opinions are my own.
Erica Littke –
Sage and Ty take a couple trys to find happily ever after. I really like this series and these ladies. I hope to see them in another story in the future. Sage is a pragmatic cautious business owner who moved to be close to her good friends. We get to see her relationship build with Ty, amidst some missteps. I really liked this series and am sad to see it end. I will read more by the author and her pen names.
